東北易幟
東北易幟是指統(tǒng)治中國東北的奉系軍閥將領張學良，在其父張作霖被日軍制造的“皇姑屯事件”爆炸中致死后，日本關東軍為將東北變?yōu)橹趁竦囟鴦裾f東北“獨立”之機，將原來懸掛的北洋政府的五色旗換成國民政府的青天白日滿地紅旗，并于1928年12月29日通電南京，接受國民政府管轄的歷史事件。此舉標志著國民政府軍“北伐”的結束、國民政府完成形式上的統(tǒng)一中國、北洋政府的正式結束。張學良此舉實現(xiàn)了當時中國在名義或形式上的南北統(tǒng)一。

Return of Northeastern China
The Return of Northeastern China refers to the event of Zhang Xueliang—the general of the Fengtian Clique of northeastern China—changing the five-color flag of the government of the warlords of northern China to the flag of the national government. This occured after the Huanggutun Incident, in which his father Zhang Zuolin died in an explosion plotted by the Japanese army. At this time, Japanese troops in northeastern China persuaded northeastern Chinese authorities to accept colonization of the area. Zhang Xueliang sent a telegram to Nanjing on December 29th of 1928 to express his acceptance of the jurisdiction of the national government. This marked the end of the “Northern Expedition” undertaken by the army of the National Government, the formal reunification of China under the National Government, and the official end to the Government of Warlords in Northern China. In short, Zhang Xueliang’s initiative achieved the nominal and formal reunification of southern and northern China.
