嘉善田歌是浙江省的地方民歌，屬于吳歌的一個(gè)品種，是浙江一種獨(dú)特的歌謠形式，是過(guò)去勞動(dòng)者尋求慰藉、抒發(fā)思想感情的歌聲。其主要內(nèi)容是唱?jiǎng)趧?dòng)、唱農(nóng)村生活、唱在鄉(xiāng)村田野發(fā)生的愛(ài)情。2008年6月7日，浙江省嘉善縣申報(bào)的“嘉善田歌”經(jīng)國(guó)務(wù)院批準(zhǔn)列入第二批國(guó)家級(jí)非物質(zhì)文化遺產(chǎn)名錄。

Jiashan folk songs are local to Zhejiang. They are a sub-variety of the Wu folk songs, and are of unique form sang by laborers in old times seeking consolation and expressing deep emotions. The subject matter is typically labor, rural life, or romance. On June 7th, 2008, the Jiashan folk songs of Jiashan County in Zhejiang Province were approved by the State Council to be included in the National Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
