Yue Embroidery
Yue Embroidery is the folk embroidery craftwork popular in Guangzhou and the surrounding areas together with Su Embroidery, Xiang Embroidery, and Shu Embroidery as the four famous Chinese embroideries. It started in the Tang Dynasty and prospered in the Ming and Qing Dynasties well-known for its rich composition, vivid image, clear texture, splendid color, various stitches and diverse art styles. In 2006, it was added to China’s official list for national intangible cultural heritage.
