麓山海拔300.8米，是南岳衡山72峰之一，在橘子洲旅游景區(qū)內(nèi)，是國(guó)家級(jí)重點(diǎn)風(fēng)景名勝區(qū)。也是中國(guó)四大賞楓勝地之一。岳麓山位于古城長(zhǎng)沙湘江西岸，為城市山岳型風(fēng)景名勝區(qū)。景區(qū)內(nèi)有岳麓書(shū)院、愛(ài)晚亭、麓山寺、云麓宮、新民學(xué)會(huì)舊址景點(diǎn)等。

At an altitude of 300.8 meters, and located in the Juzizhou Tourist Attraction, the Yuelu Mountain is one of the 72 peaks of the Hengshan Mountain, the southern Mountain and also a national key scenic spot as well as one of the four maple appreciation places in China. Located in the west ban of the Xiangjiang River (Changsha, an ancient city), it is an urban-mountain-type scenic spot. The scenic spot consists of Yuelu Academy, Aiwan Pavilion, Lushan Temple, Yunlu Palace and the former site of the Xinmin Society.
