選秀(draft),指選拔在某方面表現(xiàn)優(yōu)秀的人。中國自古就有，古代選秀一般是宮廷選秀。從2004年《超級女聲》開始，大眾選秀節(jié)目開始進(jìn)入我們的視線，這類幾乎“零門檻(zero ofthreshold)”的選秀活動讓所有人都有機(jī)會成為明星。之后的《好男兒》、《快樂男聲》、《我型我秀》還有《中國好聲音》等等選秀活動一一登場，幾乎一刻都沒有讓中國的電視觀眾閑著。通過這些選秀活動，很多有才能的 “平民百姓”實現(xiàn)了自己的夢想，走上了星光大道(avenue of stars)。
