這些名詞均含“花”之意。
1.bloom : 主要指諸如牡丹、玫瑰、梅花、菊花等供觀賞的花以及花的狀態(tài)。
例如：What beautiful blooms!多美的花啊!
2.blossom : 一般指樹木開花，尤指果樹上開的花。
例如：The oriental cherry is in full blossom.櫻花盛開。
3.flower : 指開放的花朵或泛指花卉。
例如：I always associate the smell of those flowers with my childhood.我一聞到這種花香, 就聯(lián)想起我的童年。
blush, flush
這兩個(gè)動(dòng)詞均含有“臉紅”之意。
1.blush : 側(cè)重因羞愧或?qū)擂味蝗荒樇t。
例如：I have to blush to admit that thing.我不得不羞愧地承認(rèn)了那件事。
2.flush : 強(qiáng)調(diào)因憤怒、高興、羞愧、發(fā)燒或酗酒等引起的臉紅。
例如：There was a flush in her cheeks.她滿臉通紅。
