*戎夷離開齊國到魯國去。碰上天氣酷寒，在魯國城門關(guān)閉后才趕到城邊，只好跟他的一個(gè)門徒在城外露天過夜。夜晚，天氣越來越冷。戎夷便對那個(gè)門徒說：“您把衣給我穿，我就會活下來，我把衣給您穿，您就會活下來。我是治理國家的杰出人才，為了普天下的利益而愛惜自己的生命;您，是一個(gè)普通人，不必吝惜自己的生命，您把您的衣給我吧。”門徒說：“我這平庸的人，又怎能慷慨地把衣給您這個(gè)杰出的人穿呢?” 戎夷聽了，嘆息說：“唉，我的主張看來不能實(shí)現(xiàn)了!”說完，便把身上的衣脫下來給門徒穿。到了半夜，自己凍死了，卻救活了這個(gè)門徒。說戎夷能夠把一個(gè)時(shí)代治理好，那還沒有證明;但是，他那想有利于人類的思想，算是達(dá)到不能再高的程度了!
