Chang:Before I came to the United States, I had the impression that women
in America were stronger than men, both in society and at home. But now
I feel that that was a distorted picture.
Yang:You can say that again. American’s a man’s world too.

Yang:I think there is a sharp contrast between Chinese and Americans.For example,
the Americans are very individualistic, while the Chinese are very group-oriented.
Chang:You can say that again. Chinese are very conscious of what other people think
of them.
楊:我認(rèn)為中國(guó)人和美國(guó)人之間有極明顯的差別。
譬如說(shuō),美國(guó)人非常個(gè)人主義,而中國(guó)人就非常集體傾向。

Yang:The United States is an egalitarian society in terms of interpersonal
relationships.
Chang:You can say that again! The woman I just went out to dinner with insisted on
paying her own way. And when I took her home she kissed me goodnight!
楊:就人際關(guān)系而言,美國(guó)是個(gè)平等社會(huì)。
張:一點(diǎn)也沒(méi)錯(cuò)!剛才和我一起去吃飯的那個(gè)女人,不但堅(jiān)持自己付錢(qián),而且當(dāng)我送她回家時(shí),還親吻我道晚安!

用法:用于擔(dān)心對(duì)方誤解時(shí)。
譬如說(shuō),我們都有和別人爭(zhēng)辯的經(jīng)驗(yàn),當(dāng)對(duì)方提出他的看法或意見(jiàn)時(shí),自己的雖然和他的大致相同,但總覺(jué)得對(duì)方有些
看法難免有失平衡,或太過(guò)極端,而不表示同意,想再重申自己的看法或立場(chǎng)時(shí),可以直接以" Don’t get me wrong."
