Version, Translation
Version(n.)---“翻譯”,“譯文”,“譯本”。指同一作品的不同譯本。
Translation(n.)---“翻譯”,“譯文”,“譯本”。普通用語(yǔ)。指把作品從一種語(yǔ)言譯成另一種語(yǔ)言。
例:There are many versions of the Bible.
圣經(jīng)有許多不同的譯本。
I have never read the King James version of the Bible.
我從未讀過詹姆士國(guó)王欽定的圣經(jīng)英譯本。
I have read a Japanese translation of Hamlet.
我讀過哈姆雷特的日文翻譯本。

Vanquish, Conquer, Overcome
Vanquish(v.)---“克服”。指快速?完全?徹底地打敗對(duì)手，有“勝利已成定局”的意思。
只可用于人。
Conquer(v.)---“克服”,“征服”。常有控制或占有的含義，但并沒有徹底而完全征服的意思。
Overcome(v.)---“克服”。普通用語(yǔ)。指克服任何必須克服的東西。
例:He vanquished his opponent.
他一舉打垮了他的對(duì)手。
The king's army vanquished the rebels.
國(guó)王的部隊(duì)一舉擊敗了叛亂者。
The Norman conquered England in 1066.

Valuable(adj.)---“值錢的”,“有價(jià)值的”。指價(jià)值巨大, 出售就可得高價(jià);
也可表示意義或作用的重大。
Precious(adj.)---“貴重的”,“寶貴的”。指因稀罕或來之不易,
或具有極大價(jià)值而非常值錢，
有時(shí)也指一個(gè)人對(duì)某件物品特別喜愛。
例:Mrs Forester has a valuable diamond.
弗雷斯蒂夫人有一顆貴重鉆石。
It is a valuable discovery.

Kindle(v.)---“點(diǎn)燃”。強(qiáng)調(diào)著火的遲緩和困難。
Fire(v.)---“點(diǎn)燃”。通常指火的突然爆發(fā)。
Ignite(v.)---“點(diǎn)燃”。限于用在指通過某種方法使物體升溫而迅速或猛烈燃燒。
Light(v.)---“點(diǎn)燃”。強(qiáng)調(diào)點(diǎn)燃后的結(jié)果，如光亮?熱力或煙火等。
例:This wood is too wet to kindle.
