I.作"有"講，表示"所屬的有"。如：
①I have forty paper stars.我有四十個紙星星。
②She has fifty pictures.她有五十張圖片。
II.作"吃、喝"講。如：
①I have breakfast at home.我在家吃早飯。
②I would like to have a glass of water.我想喝杯水。
III.作"借用"講。如：
May I have your bike?我可以用一下你的自行車嗎？
IV.作"招待"講。如：
Thank you for having me.謝謝你招待我。
另外，have還可以與其它詞構成一些固定搭配。如：
1)have a look看一看
2)have classes上課
3)have a rest休息一會兒
4)have a good time玩得高興
have常用短語：
1、have a look 看一看
Let me have a look at your photo.
2、Have lunch/breakfast/supper 吃中（早、晚）飯
We often have lunch in the school.
3、have one's meal(s) 吃飯
Where will we go to have our meals?
4、have a swim 游泳
It's very hot. Let's go to have a swim in the river.
5、have classes/lessons 上課
Stop talking. Let's have our lessons/classes.
6、have a lot of homework to do 有大量的作業(yè)要做
I will have a lot of homework to do this evening.
7、have a good time 玩得高興
Did you have a good time in the winter holiday?
8、have a drink 喝飲料（酒）
Let's go to the bar and have a drink.
9、have a meeting 開會
When will we have a meeting?
10、have a rest. 休息一會兒
You're too tired and you must have a rest.
11、had better (not) do sth. 最好（不）做某事
You'd better go to the town today.
12、have to do sth. 不得做某事
It's very far away and I have to take a taxi.
13、have been to a place 去過某地
Have you ever been to Beijing?
14、have gone to a place 去某地了
My father isn't at home and he has gone to Shanghai.
15、have a wash 洗臉
The little boy didn't have a wash this morning.
16、have a test 進行測驗（考試）
Let's have a test, class.
17、have (got) a headache 頭痛
I've got a headache, doctor.
18、have a cough 咳嗽

19、have a cold 患感冒
