反身代詞是一種表示反射或強(qiáng)調(diào)的代詞,詞尾是self或selves。反身代詞表示"某人自己",與它所指代的名詞或代詞在人稱、性、數(shù)上保持一致。
(1)反身代詞用作同位語,表示強(qiáng)調(diào)
You'll have to do it yourself.
你得自己去干。
The theory itself is all right.
這理論本身沒有問題。
(2)反身代詞與人稱代詞賓格的區(qū)別在于,只有當(dāng)主語和賓語是同一個人時才使用反身代詞。
He saw himself in the mirror.(he和himself指的是同一人)
他在鏡子里看見了自己。
He saw him in the mirror. (he和him指的不是同一人,him指代另一個人)
他在鏡子里看見了他。
(3)反身代詞的固定搭配是?？純?nèi)容:
They enjoyed themselves at the party last night.
昨天晚上他們在聚會上玩得很開心。

(1)表示空間上的遠(yuǎn)近:this和these表示近。that和those表示遠(yuǎn)。
No one had worked in this place for ages.
已經(jīng)好多年沒有人在這個地方工作過了。
I don't like the look of those clouds.
我不喜歡那些云的樣子。
(2)表示時間上的遠(yuǎn)近
These days the Olympics must mean the best.
現(xiàn)今,奧林匹克運(yùn)動會肯定是水平最高的。
At that point he became worried.
就在那時,他變得擔(dān)心起來。
注意:that和those有時可以用來代表前面剛提到過的名詞以 避免重復(fù)。
The best cotton is that from Xinjiang.
新疆的棉質(zhì)量最好。
