    An expression with only one term is called monomial.
    Example:
    3x,2x²,and 4xy are all monomials.
    2x+1,x+y,3(x+1),and x+x² are not monomials.
    Remember:
    There is no addition or subtraction in monomials.
    Mono means one, as in monologue.
