Many young people think that the rules that govern their lives are too strict. I totally disagree with this view. I feel this way for the following reasons.
First， compared to our elder generation， we have a lot more freedom. Generally speaking， we can do whatever we want. The fact that most of us can choose our favorite field to major in is just one of many examples. Moreover， due to widespread use of the Internet， we can get full access to whatever information we are interested in.
For those who believe the rules are too strict， here’s some more ammunition to support my argument. If there were no such rules to make us behave ourselves， more crimes would be committed and instances of drug abuse and alcoholism would skyrocket.
All in all， the young need to be more heavily restricted， not less.
