Reading講chimps(黑猩猩)有人類的語言能力。因?yàn)椋?.它能有一些vocabulary; 2.有capacity for grammar，能把單詞簡單合并，知道把形容詞放在名詞前面，3.能和人進(jìn)行簡單的conversation。
Listening 反對，1.說它的vocabulary是simple, not close to human，2.它沒有instinct，因此學(xué)習(xí)語言的方法與人類不同，只能靠teach each sign one by one over and over again; 3.那種conversation不是conversation，因?yàn)樗莗assive的，只是一種responding, 因?yàn)閠oo passive，而且黑猩猩同類之間不交談。
