TASK TWO 主要為Expository Writing (論說文)，根據(jù)不同題目，又可分為Discussion 和Argumentation兩種類型。
國外有些參考書分為Report 和Essay兩種。現(xiàn)就如何區(qū)分這兩種類型說明如下：
一、 Discussion / Report 型
Discussion / Report 型主要目的是提供事實(shí)和信息或提出問題和闡述解決問題的方法。
二、 Argumentation / Essay 型
Argumentation / Essay 型主要目的是提出并論證一個(gè)觀點(diǎn)或假設(shè)，或者陳述及評估反方觀點(diǎn)，論據(jù)等。
舉例說明：
Task: Many people believe that birth control will solve the problems of overpopulation and poverty in the world.
a. Do you agree? Give examples to support your argument. Other people, however, claim that it is inhuman
to exercise birth control and that it doesn’t work well in many places. Write an argument to support either
side of the issue.
b. Explain how your county uses birth control to solve the problem of overpopulation and alleviate poverty.
經(jīng)過分析，大家可以看出，a 屬于Argumentation ， 而b屬于Discussion.
