燈叔按:照舊,常規(guī)話題不談,只談比較出乎意料的和容易大腦阻塞的話題。
Part 1
What kind of newspaper do you read?
China Daily, People’s Daily, 21st Century,
Xinmin Wanbao ---- a Shanghai local evening paper
What page interests you most?

editorial column (社論專版)
Part 2
An important dialogue that was important to you.
當(dāng)年:中考/高考(entrance examination to college),失敗,挫折(frustration),沮喪(depression),自暴自棄(the thought of giving up)
某人:老師,父母,朋友,親戚
某時(shí)間、地點(diǎn):
鼓勵(lì):某句話(I still remember the sentence he/she said:)
Life is pain, you must get used to it.
Ask yourself not why, but why not.
Life is like a journey, do not forget to enjoy the sights.
Part 3
1, what is the difference between business travel (出差) and normal travel?
Business travel: paid by the company, tight schedule, intensity of work, nervous all the time
Normal travel: paid by myself, to stay as long as I please, the purpose to forget about the work, relax for a couple of days
2, what do you think of bloody violence on films?
Some people may like it: fierce fight releases our nervous energy.
I do not: a disgusting sight to see the heads chopped off(頭砍掉), the limbs ripped off(四肢扯下來(lái)), the intestines dragged out(內(nèi)臟拉出來(lái)), the blood spilling all over(血濺滿地). I will not stand the view, it’s inhumane/ cruel/ ruthless. (不人道的/殘忍的/冷酷的)
We should have regulations to rate (給…評(píng)級(jí))the films, for certain violence films are not for children’s eyes.(不宜兒童觀看)
3, what do you think will happen in space technology?
A, theories of relativity(相對(duì)論), travel at light speed(光速運(yùn)行), reach remote corners of the universe
B, new adaptation devices(生存適應(yīng)裝置), help us adjust to any physical conditions, such as heat, cold, chemical exposures (接觸化合物)or radiations…(輻射)
4, which do you think is healthier, Chinese food or Western food?
Chinese: rich in vegetables, vitamins(注意發(fā)音), fibers and minerals, a more balanced diet/ portfolio (組合)
Western: rich in protein and starch, as are contained within bread, caviar (魚(yú)子醬), good for muscle strength, bad for heart, may lead to higher risk of heart disease.
5, is bungee jumping dangerous?
Tried/not, dare/not
Fallling by nearly 50 metres from a brigdge with only a rope fastened to your waist

You can imagine how dangerous it could be
But, with specially designed elastic(有彈性的) rope(繩子), it could also be safe
If you are going to a bungee jumping, what equipment will you take with you?
A specially designed rope tested with a bag,
a car to tie the rope onto,
perhaps a parachute, (降落傘)
a pair of goggles, (防風(fēng)鏡)
an air tank (氧氣筒,呵呵)in case I can not breathe after getting pulled up
Did the government have any official regulations in this respect?
Not sure,
insurance policy for any risk taker,
certification (認(rèn)證)for professional bungee jumping clubs,
restriction (限制)on the jumper’s age and physical conditions
Where do you plan to go bungee jumping?
A bridge
A park
A mountain cliff near water
The Happy Valley 歡樂(lè)谷
7, can you remember things before you were 5? If not, why?
Most people, no, an example of my early childhood(舉個(gè)例子,如尿床: bed wetting)
Freud (弗洛伊德)and other psychologists,
early childhood,
the stage of life where consciousness is being shaped, (意識(shí)正在形成的生命階段)
our brain has yet to come to its full shape, (大腦尚未發(fā)育完整)
it’s not complex enough to remember a lot (還未達(dá)到記憶很多的復(fù)雜程度)
