After reading this wonderful story, I can feel love, brave, deep friendship and some other good spirits in the people.
The Scarecrow wanted some brains, but on the way to the Emerald City, he thought out of a way to cross the river. The Cowardly Lion wanted to be brave, but when they met the river, he carried other friends to jump across it. And the Tin Man wanted a heart, he said he couldn’t love, but he didn’t want to hurt any animal.
In fact, they all have the things they want: the Scarecrow is clever, the Cowardly Lion is brave and the Tin Man is kind-hearted.

In this summer holidays, I read a book called , it was written by Charles Dickens, one of the most famous English writers. He wrote lots of wonderful novels. This book is one of his compositions.
People always like to compare with their friends. It is a big foible of all the people. If other people have a lot of money, we also want to be rich. If all the people around us are poor , we never mind that we are very poor, too. we will not ashamed because of our folly. This is a social problem.
If we never possess anything, we will not mind we lost some thing. Since we don’t want to be very rich ,we will not feel despond because poor.

Somewhere, under the sea, weak-finned clown fish Nemo (Alexander Gould) lives with his fretful father, Marlin (Albert Brooks). Smothered by pop's paranoia, he ventures away from the reef, but his dad's dread is justified when a passing diver whisks him away.
Taken to a tank in a Sydney dentists, Nemo meets Gill (Willem Dafoe) and co - friendly fish who dream of escaping to the ocean. Meanwhile, Marlin bumps into a blue tang named Dory (Ellen DeGeneres), and sets out to save his son...
The splendour of natural history hit The Blue Planet is matched by the wit of the script and stars. Barry Humphries has a terrific cameo as a great white shark who's sworn off killing (Remember, fish are friends, not food!), while DeGeneres provides perfect timing and tone as Dory, whose short-term memory lois a gag that never stops running
After the appreciation of the film “Titanic”, I have noticed some meaningful details behind the peoples’ general impression of simply an affectional film. The wreck of the Titanic occurred in 1912, in which the great recession started from the end of the 19th Century still hasn’t ended. Most critics pointed out that the sinking of the Titanic represents the collapse of the Capitalism in the end of the 19th Century. However, I would like to say that, in this movie, the director had not only foreran the crisis of the Capitalism, but also showed some of the human nature, from both gloomy and brilliant aspects, like selfish, mammonish, vainglorious, and love, hope, bravery, faith, and so on. In this essay, I will first reveal this film’s indication of the social context of that age, then I will analyse the two contrary aspects of human nature indicated in this film through some impressive shots.
Under the development of industrial technology, the economy in the Capitalism countries took off. People lived a rich, luxury and expensive life, and this rapid economic development lasted for almost 20 years. People had got used to this kind of life. The huge development in machinery changed people’s life greatly. Innovations of transportation, such as vehicles and tankers, allowed people to travel around. The appearance of these modern transportations was an important milestone of the industrialization. People thus became very confident on human intellectual capabilities. They believed their power of conquering the nature is inapproachable. While the Titanic is also called “The Ship of Dreamers”, in this film, when it bearing in with the ocean in the darkness, the mysterious ocean represents the unknown nature and the ship itself represents the advanced material capabilities people owned. In a shot that Mr Bruce explains his design of the Titanic, he said “the ship possesses huge size, stability, luxury, and strength”, and that” the supremacy will never be challenged”. In fact, all these words can be thought of the symbols of the Capitalism of that time in many people’s eyes. They thought the Capitalism is just like the Titanic, which should be “unsinkable”. The wonderful way of developing economy would stay in good condition eternally. However, things do not always follow the way people wish to be. The economic recession suddenly attacked the Capitalism countries at the end of the 19th Century. It was not until then that people did not realize the impracticality of their idealized “unsinkable” Capitalism. Capitalism will sink. And unfortunately it did sink. Just like the

“Animals deserve our kindness, sympathy and understanding,” that is what Anna Sewell-the author of Black Beauty-wanted to convince her readers. Thanks to Sewell, I now think about the animal-human relationship from both the human and the animal’s point of view.
The inspiration for Anna Sewell’s novel was drawn from her own relationship with horses. Anna Sewell was born on March 20th, 1820 in Norfolk, England and was crippled while still very young. Due to her disability, she relied on horse-drawn carriages and grew to love horses as a result. She also became appalled by the careless and cruel treatment horses often received from humans and determined to write a book.. In the second year of work on the book, she was told that she had only eighteen months to live, but she persevered in order “to induce kindness, sympathy and an understanding [of the ] treatment of horses.” Five years later, she was still working on Black Beauty, her only book. Unfortunately, Sewell died a few months after publication and never learned of the book’s huge success. Black Beauty formed an impassioned plea for animal rights at a time when such a notion had been dismissed as ridiculous.
The novel portrayed the real condition of working horses living in Britain during the Victorian Era. In that time period, the wealthy thought that their horses were treated well because they never stepped into the stable. In order to call people’s attention to horses’ hard life, Sewell tells the story through the first-person narrative voice of a horse. This innovative personification of an animal made the book a real success. Readers heard the stories straight from the horse’s mouth, literally, as an animal spoke of extremes of joy and suffering. People were shocked by the truth exposed by the novel and changed their attitudes towards animals.
Sewell formed the novel with three kinds of characters: Black Beauty, Ginger and other farm animals. Through their different experiences, I saw similarly painful lives led by the animals. This method made the earnest appeal for animal rights become more and more persuasive.
As a domestic animal, Black Beauty was continuously sold from one family to another. Over the years Beauty enjoyed good masters but also endured mean ones. Sometimes, he was cared for and at other times tortured. In the end, everything turns out all right in a story that is so tender and yet meaningful. His story was so vivid that caught the readers’ heart. The novel brought people laughter and tears and also enlightened them to understand animals at the same time.
Animals cannot speak so understanding is significant to them. Once, for example, Beauty was drawing the carriage to a wooden bridge. The bridge was flooded out in the river and John, the groom, was not aware that it was cracked. But the quickly realized that something was wrong because of Beauty’s abnormal behavior. Momentarily, a man shouted to them, “Stop! Stop!…The bridge is broken in the middle. If you come across, you’ll fall in the river!” Beauty had saved John. However, if John had not tried to understand what Beauty wanted to tell him, there would definitely have been an accident. I learnt from the story that understanding animals is not only essential to them but is also beneficial to us ourselves.
In order to emphasize the importance of understanding animals, the writer created Ginger as a negative example. Ginger was the friend of Beauty who led a much more miserable life than Beauty did. Once she told Beauty: “When I was trained, several men caught me in a corner of the field and one held my nose so hard that I could only just breathe. Then others pulled my mouth open to put the bit in, and I was pulled along and beaten from behind. They didn’t give me a chance to understand what they wanted.”
Poor Ginger, kindness was all she needed. She was frightened seriously so she bit or kicked to defend any possible attacks. The more she was whipped the more she bit, the more she bit the more she was whipped. In this way, both animals and humans were trapped in a terrible cycle made by human beings. Consequently, humans were frequently hurt by frightened horses. The author thus portrayed Ginger to tell me that harming animals may also harm us.
When I have a sketchy look at other farm animals the writer depicts, it is simple to find more examples of cruel things humans do to animals out of ignorance. This part of the novel expanded people’s scope from only horses to all the animals and deepened the plea for animal rights and that made the novel more successful.
Sir Oliver, the old horse, had a 20-centimeter-long tail. His beautiful long tail was cut off just because the owners thought it was fashionable. Humans never understood how pained a horse is when he can’t brush flies off his sides and back legs.
Sky, the terrier, had had a part of her ears sheared off. Her owners wanted to make her look cute and ignored that parts of her ears were intended to protect the delicate parts from injury. “Why don’t people cut their own children ‘s ears to make them look lovely?” Asked the poor dog angrily. Yes, why can’t we think from the animals’ perspective?
“Black Beauty is a heartbreaking story,” I thought when my mother read it to me when I was a child. As a child I was haunted by the described cruelty to those horses. Now I deeply hope, in the future, we will be able to tell our children that because of the book, and others like it, such mistreatment of animals no longer exists. And they just need to enjoy the novel as a beautiful historical documentary recording the progress of upholding animal rights. At that time, the dream of the author will have come true and her hard work will have been rewarded.

Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens', is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century.
The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London.
The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.
How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. Although I don't think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.
For me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodness is to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, 'The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose', he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.
To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. They look down on people's honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. As a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. On the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. In their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. If they cannot get profit from showing their 'kindness', they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. They are one of the sorts that I really detest.
Francis Bacon said in his essay, 'Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.'
That is to say a person without goodness is destined to lose everything. Therefore, I, a kind person, want to tell those 'vermin-to-be'to learn from the kind Oliver and regain the nature of goodness.

Why Mulan sticks out as a great Disney film.I was impressed by this Disney film for so many reasons, too many to list here, but I will go on the record as saying that Mulan has got to be one of the best Disney female characters that ever saw production, in the midst of a colorful and artistic film, that will resonate in your memory.Mulan sticks out in my mind for this reason. For once, we have a strong female lead, or at the least, stronger than most of them. She isn't counted among the Disney “princesses” line-up.She doesn't want for herself, and she seeks to look deeper within herself to discover her inner being. She isn't like Ariel, who wants to be someone else. She isn't like Jasmine, who sits in luxury, waiting to be swept off her feet by Prince Charming, just like Snow White, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and almost any female character that Disney brings to life. And while she does share some traits among this list, she stands out because she does something that these do not.She uses her mind.Mulan, in fact, has more in common with male Disney leads than the female Disney leads.Mulan is a thinker, and a do-er.She's resourceful, like Aladdin. She is quick to act, like Eric(mermaid.)And she sacrifices herself for the sake of others, like Hercules. She also speaks her mind, even in a culture that does not allow such a thing. She doesn't waste time pining about “will I ever find true love?” Indeed, we see that she has an attraction to Shang(as he was her husband in the legends,)but we see her uncomfortable and unsure of meeting the Match-maker.She begs for her father's life when Chi-Fu came to the village. When you see her make her decision to take her father's place in the army, she does so out of her love for him, valuing his life above hers. She doesn't wish to become a man to see what it is like or for a change.Only to save his life. She later doubts herself and her reasons for going, but she did so because of her inner strengths, something other female Disney leads too often lack.(And it is these strengths that Shang is attracted to at the end.)This movie also has a simple, but very effective villain, Shan Yu.Though not as memorable as Jafar or Ursula, he is more effective and more menacing because he is not fantastic.By that, I mean that he is not magical, he holds no special power. He is portrayed as a man, and as a man that could have truly existed, performing vicious acts that men do.We see the destruction that his army lays to a village, and when Mulan finds the doll, it shows that Shan Yu left no one living, man, woman or child. This is what makes him so effective as a villain, showing how truly human he indeed is.Granted, the producers did not develop him in any great depth, but they showed enough of him to remind us of his threat to China.Besides, sometimes the better villains are the ones you don't know too much about, or see a lot of.Of the rest of the supporting cast, I will only mention four of them as being memorable in any real way.Chi-Fu, the emperor's consultant, was a reminder of the way many men looked at women in this culture. He thrusts his head up when Mulan begs for her father's life, and when she is discovered to be a woman, though she is a hero, he is quick to insult her, and to order her execution, simply because she impersonated a man.The other three were, of course, her comrades, Ling, Yao, and Chian Po.Though they were mainly comic relief(almost like a 3 stooges set,)they remained loyal to Mulan and trusted her fully, even after she was discovered.I like them, because they were not discriminatory to her in any way, even trying to stop her execution. When Mulan told them she had an idea to help the emperor faster, they were the first to her side, even when Shang was still reluctant to do so.Overall, a wonderful movie to the Disney list.If you haven't seen it, then do so, you won't regret it.And yes, Mushu was a cool character as well.**** In Response to an earlier post by Phoenix-1 **** To expect any movie to accurately portray history in any way is lunacy.Even those movies that come close to historical accuracy are flawed in many ways. This was a way of telling a story, as any movie is.It can be argued that it tries to provoke curiosity in another culture, but it is also meant to entertain.I would also like to point out that Mulan is really not “historical,” like Joan of Arc, but rather she is a legend, much like Hercules and Aladdin, who also come from the realm of myth, stories and legends. And while there is some difference between the original legend and this movie, your examples of how Disney would butcher tales of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln do not compare to this story in any way.Your arguments for comparison should be better applied to Pocahontas, as she was an actual historical figure.

At the beginning of this century, many new writers emerged with the introduction of many new ideas. Among them, Jack London was the most popular one.
His most famous novel is the call of the wild . Although it is a story about a dog, Buck, it vividly depicts the life in the primitive North where people rushed for gold and fortune.
Buck, used to belong to a judge, was kidnapped and sold to North. Then he became a member of a dog-team pulling a sled . In the days of pulling a snow-sled, he learned to conform to the law of nature and obey the master. Finally, he found a basic instinct hidden inside him, which enabled himself to survive the tough environment. This is the call of the wild.
When you read the story, you will feel that Buck is a man instead of a dog, struggling with his fortune and conforming to the law of nature.
Though short, it is really a thrilling story. What you never forget is the tough life in the nature, the brave and crafty dog. Maybe the wild is calling you to go ahead.
While writing for only 16 years throughout his life, London produced an amazing body of work among which, White Fang, Martin Eden, the Valley of the Moon are representative.

This progreis the procemore like road-mode, and this car is a big important paragraph of the props and bearing. The film also made a conscious decision to use other modes of transport instead of cars to complete the film “family” theme of the portrait. When Charlie prepared with “Rain Man” on the airplane, “Rain Man” showed extreme panic and anxiety, and enumerated in the previous periods crash. In no way Charlie circumstances had promised to “Rain Man” take automotive requirements. At this point, and directing were reached to extend the use of narrative time and space vehicles, and create a relatively broad narrative environment.
The whole car is the bearing of the incident, the theme is the cornerstone of good play. In the two-person trip to the middle of a “Rain Man” suddenly reminded of his underpants, he was required to return to the Charlie designated places to buy那條designated underpants. This has been a strange burn up his brother Charles at this time the dilemma. Abnormal helplehe angrily left the car, walked alone one person complained loudly, when he can look back again, my brother has not the car, but to sell his underpants that direction going. At that moment, the car empty, represented the brothers emotion and the way of thinking on the alienation and difficult to communicate, so倆人have left their places of spiritual exchange - automotive, suddenly created a separation empty art results. When Charlie and later, “Rain Man” won large amounts of money in the casino after playing and traveling together when Suzanne, the atmosphere is暖洋洋, because the narrow space in this car represents the soul of communication between the brothers, let them at the same time bathed in golden sunlight, the spring water fountain also like the ease of mind and a cheerful background music and exciting dance issued輕捷crisper, and drop people droplets sound. In these two areas, car apparently served as a “family” of communication sites, was a sharp contrast, and the plot laid a foundation for further development.

In the movie, the director repeatedly demonstrated his interest and the unique digital extraordinary memory capacity, and intensified this individual acts, the leading clues, the entire narrative become an important motive exists. The film also uses its own characteristics that created a special effects comedy and drama tension. From a certain perspective, “Rain Man” films of this role is the focus of the entire drama. Tablets comedy links, the motives for contradictions in his possession were to be embodied. If Charles and Suzanne se-x, the unknown rational Raymund enter their room, and Suzanne and together哼哼up.     緊接在一串 whereas clauses 之后,會(huì)出現(xiàn)類似上例中的 now therefore, the parties hereto agree as follows: 這樣一句話,目的在提醒閱讀合約的人,真正規(guī)范訂約當(dāng)事人權(quán)利義務(wù)關(guān)系的條款在這句話之后就要開始了,也就是說(shuō),這句話(一般稱為 operative part )是序文與主文之間的橋梁,在此之前為訂約背景事實(shí)的敘述,在此之后則為關(guān)于交易關(guān)系的實(shí)體約定。
whereas, this agreement is supplemental to an agreement dated 5 december 1989 between the parties to this agreement (“the principal agreement”) under which the purchaser agreed to buy certain assets of the vendor for an aggregate sum of £3 million.

The Scarlet Letter offers an extraordinary insight into the norms and behavior of the 17th century if American Puritan society。 The basic conflicts and problems of its main characters, however, are familiar to readers in the present。 The female protagonist, has borne a child out of wedlock and has been jailed for over three months and sentenced to wear a symbol of her adultery, a scarlet “A” on her dress at all times。 It concerns about the moral, emotional and psychological effect of the sin on people in general。 It’s not simply a love story or a story of sin。 The Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne uses the scarlet letters to symbolize the harshness of Puritan society, showing how they brand sinners for life。
The story happened in Boston about 200 years ago。 It narrates love affairs between three persons。 The punished woman。 Hester Prynne and his husband。 Who called himself Roger Chillingworth 。 He is an old misshapen man and a doctor。 Hester does not love him at all。 Another man is a young minister, Dimmesdale, who has a high position among ministers and is highly respected among his people in town。 Hester and Dimmesdale love each other。 But their love is forbidden in that time 。 It is sinful。 Due to this,Hester is punished by society with a letter A on her chest, which considered an evil, a shame。
In this novel, the mainline seems to be around the letter A。 Hester is brave enough to face the cruel reality。 She is always with a mind of courage。 She has been alone with her child for so long , with litter communication。 Shame! Hopelessness! Loneliness! Hester has to wear the letter A day after day, seven years as for punishment and ill fame。
When a woman has lived through a difficult experience, her character changes a great deal。 If she be all tenderness, she will die。 If she survive, the tenderness will leave her 。Hester’s charitable deeds and quiet humility have earned her a reprieve from the scorn of the community。 The letter on her chest represents her work on earth , always helping others, without expecting any thanks。 Never afterwards, does that scarlet letter leave her chest。 The townspeople no longer view the letter as a punishment , but rather as representing her great strength and bravery and thy say it means “Able”。
But Arthur Dimmesdale, his sin against Hester and Pearl is that he will not acknowledge them as his wife and daughter in the daylight。 He keeps his dreadful secret from all those under his care in the church for seven years for fear that he will lose their love and will not be forgiven。 He is too weak to admit his sins。 He suffers from mysterious heart trouble, seemingly caused by psychological distress。 What’s worse, he is an advisor to the townspeople about their sins。
After Mr。 Dimmesdale’s death , no one changes more in appearance than Roger Chilling worth。 All his strength and energy has been used to harm his patient 。 This unhappy man has made his aim in life to add to the suffering of the young minister。 When the evil old man no longer has such a purpose, the devil takes him back to the hell 。 It is a curious subject of observation, however, whether hatred or love are not of the same place。 Each takes a great deal of emotion from one person。 The two feelings seem basically the same, expect that one is smiled upon by God, while the other is worshipped by the devil。

In winter I watch three movies. The first movie is called ‘Barbie and the Three Musketeers’.(1/25/2012)
I watched this movie just two hours ago.Actually this is an old movie for me, but this is my favorite movie in a series of ‘Barbie movies’.Corinne is a girl who grows in the village. Her father is a musketeer. She dreams that she can be a musketeer all the rinne’s parents let her go to paris to be a musketeer when she is seventeen. Then seventeen-year-old Corinne goes to paris with her little cat, Miette. But everyone says girls couldn’t be musketeers.Nobody helps her.Although she gets into trouble on the first day, she still remembers what she dreams.Later she meets three girls who also want to be musketeers. They practice every day.The girls once find by accident that the prince regent wants to kill the prince because he wants to be the king. Finally they save the prince’s life in their way.Because of it, Corinne and her friends become musketeers.I love this movie especially the leading character, rinne is one of the bravest girls I ever see in the movies. She always holds fast to her dream though no one believes girls could be musketeers. As her father said, ‘True courage is pursuing your dream even though everybody else says it’s impossible.’ It is always true in life. Many successful people make their dreams come true by persistence and pursuit. You can certainly succeed so long as you pursue your own dream. Also, Corinne and her friends were very brave and united when they face the trouble. They prove that they could be musketeers with strength and courage.‘All for one, and one for all!’ they said. That’s why the girls could save the prince smoothly. The second movie is called ‘Barbie princess Charm School’.(1/26/2012)
In this movie, Barbie acts a girl named Blair. In fact Blair’s real name is Sophia. She is a princess who was abandoned seventeen years ago, because her biological mother, Queen Isabella and her family died in a car crash except Sophia. Then baby Sophia was found outdoors by a kind woman. The woman named the baby princess ‘Blair’.Seventeen years later, by accident Blair becomes a lucky dog of princess Charm School. It means she can study in this school. In the school there is a princess called Delancey.Delancey looks down on Blair because Blair is not a princess.Because of princess Sophia was missing, Delancey is going to take over the Kingdom.Afterwards Blair knows her identity accidentally. She stops Delancey at last and shows the fact to
everyone.Blair is a brave and optimistic girl. She dares to stop Delancey although Delancey is blue blood.Blair believes that every girl can be a princess because character is more important than a crown. It is because of her character, Blair changes from a regular girl to a noble princess. The third movie is called ‘Alvin and the Chipmunks2’.(1/26/2012)
This movie is the most awesome American movie I have ever seen. The chipmunks called Alvin, Simon and Theodore are three famous rock stars.Alvin once hurts Dave by accident at a concert. So Dave has to stay at the hospital. So Tobey, a big boy takes care of them.Three chipmunks go to school on the second day. Some boys invite Alvin to join the school football team and Alvin says yes.Later three female chipmunks called Britney, Jitney and Eleanor go to see Ian and sing to him.Ian becomes the female chipmunks’ broker. The chipmunks and the female chipmunks have a contest at school and female chipmunks win. They can take part in a singing contest on behalf of the school. But Ian wants them to take part in another contest. So Ian closes them in a cage.Alvin takes them out. Finally the chipmunks and the female chipmunks sing in the contest together. This movie is very funny. When I was sad, I always watch this movie to make me happy.I like the chipmunk named Theodore best because he is the youngest chipmunk in them.He usually makes mistakes. His mistakes always make me laugh. Also Theodore is the cutest chipmunks in them.

Here I am sitting on a couch alone, thinking about what I have just finished reading with tears of sadness filling my eyes and fire of indignation filling my heart, which revived my exhausted soul that has already been covered by the cruelty and the selfishness of the secular world for a long time. It is truly what I felt after reading Oliver Twist, written by the prominent British author Charles Dickens.
The resonance between me and the book makes me feel not only the kindness and the wickedness of all the characters in the novel, but what this aloof society lacks, and what I lack deep inside. These supreme resources I’m talking about right now are somewhat different from minerals, oil that we usually mention. They’re abstract like feelings, and some kinds of spiritual stimulation that all of us desire anxiously from one another —— love and care.
Those charitable figures whom Dickens created in the novel are really what we need in life. They showed love and care to others, just as the gentle rain from the sky fell upon the earth, which was carved into my heart deeply.
Mr. Brownlow is one such person.
The other day he had one of his elaborate watches stolen by two skilled teenage thieves, Artful Dodger and Charley Bates, and thought naturally it was Oliver, who was an orphan and forced to live with a gang of thieves, that had done it because he was the only one near by after the theft had taken place. Being wrathful, he caught Oliver, and sent him to the police station where the ill-tempered, unfair magistrates worked. Fortunately for him, Oliver was proved innocent by one onlooker afterwards. With sympathy, Mr. Brownlow took the injured, poor Oliver to his own home. There Oliver lived freely and gleefully for some months as if he were Mr. Brownlow’s own son. One day, however, Mr. Brownlow asked Oliver to return some books to the bookseller and to send some money for the new books that he had already collected. The thief Oliver once stayed with kidnapped him. After that he disappeared in Mr. Brownlow’s life. Searching for a while, Mr. Brownlow had to believe the fact that he had run away with his money. But dramatically, they came across each other again a few years later. Without hesitation, Mr. Brownlow took Oliver home for the second time not caring if he had done something evil.
Perhaps most of us would feel confused about Mr. Brownlow’s reaction. But as a matter of fact, this is just the lesson we should learn from him. Jesus said in the Bible. “Forgive not seven times, but seventy-times seven.” Why is that? Because forgiveness is our ability to remove negative thoughts and neutralize them so our energy may be spent on doing what we came here for. We cannot move forward in our future if past issues cloud our thinking. Stop put Mr. Brownlow into the list of your models. Always give people a second chance no matter what they might have done. That’s also a substantial part of loving and caring others.
Charles Dickens said:“Love makes the world go around.” These immortal words have inspired and will keep on inspiring us to chant the melody of love and to say the prayer of care forevermore. Let us, therefore, enjoy life and treat other people lovingly. These principles are the roots and foundations of beliefs supporting this article and our mission together.
