專業(yè)介紹
圖書情報學（library science或library studies）也作圖書館與信息科學（library and information science），是將管理學、信息技術、教育學等學科的知識應用圖書館及其管理的一門科學，包含一系列收集、整理、保存、傳播信息資源以及信息政治經(jīng)濟學等諸多內(nèi)容。
圖書館學最早由德國圖書館學家馬丁·施萊廷格于1807年提出，成形于19世紀后期。美國第一個圖書館學專業(yè)1887年設于哥倫比亞大學。
