指示代詞
英語(yǔ)中常見(jiàn)的指示代詞有this這，that那，these這些，those那些。
1、指示代詞的用法
①this(復(fù)數(shù)形式是these)，是指時(shí)間或空間上離說(shuō)話人較近的人或物。that(復(fù)數(shù)形式是those)，是指在時(shí)間或空間上離說(shuō)前人較遠(yuǎn)的人或物。
This is Mr. Smith and that is Mr. Black. 這位是史密斯先住，那位是布萊克先生。
These are jeeps. Those are trucks. 這些是吉普車(chē)。那些是載重卡車(chē)。
②that/those有時(shí)用來(lái)代替前面說(shuō)過(guò)的名詞，以避免重復(fù)。
The weather in Shanghai is not so cold as that (= the weather) in Beijing. 上海的天氣沒(méi)有北京那么冷。
City people stand closer than those who live in the country.城里人比那些住在鄉(xiāng)村的人彼此站得更靠近。
2、指示代詞的成分
this、 that、 these、 those 在句子中作主語(yǔ)、賓語(yǔ)、表語(yǔ)或定語(yǔ)。
例如：
1) That is our English teacher. (主語(yǔ))
2) This storybook is thicker than that one. (定語(yǔ))
3) I prefer this (these) to that (those). (賓語(yǔ))
4) What he like best is this/that? (表語(yǔ))
批注：
1、this、 these 指空間上離說(shuō)話人較近的人或物，可以與 here 連用;that、 those 指空間上離說(shuō)話人較遠(yuǎn)的人或物，可以與 there 連用。
2、打電話或其他場(chǎng)合，看得到的一方用 this 或 these. 反之用 that 或 those。
