一、more than can…結(jié)構(gòu)
more than can…相當(dāng)于英語的can not…，翻譯為“簡直不，無法，難以”;而more than one can help相當(dāng)于as little as possible，翻譯“盡量不，絕對(duì)不”。
The beauty of the park is more than words can describe.
這個(gè)公園美得無法形容。
The boy has become very insolent and it is more than his parents can bear.
這男孩變得非常無禮，到了他父母都不能忍受的地步。
Don't tell him more than you can help.
能不跟他講就盡量不要跟他講。
She never does more work than she can help.
能不做的事情，她是絕對(duì)不做的。
二、anything but…結(jié)構(gòu)
anything but…結(jié)構(gòu)表示否定意義，常常翻譯為“絕對(duì)不，根本不，一點(diǎn)也不”。
He is anything but a scholar.
他絕對(duì)不是一個(gè)學(xué)者。
The wood bridge is anything but safe.
那座木橋一點(diǎn)也不安全。
三、have yet to do…結(jié)構(gòu)
have yet to do…結(jié)構(gòu)表示否定意義，相當(dāng)于have not yet done…，常常翻譯為“還沒有”。

四、may (might) as well…結(jié)構(gòu)
may (might) as well…結(jié)構(gòu)表示否定意義，常常翻譯為“還不如”。
