    　　1.Academic Requirements
    　　Previous Education: Earned degree that is the equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor degree. Please note that some bachelor degrees are based on a three-year program and are not considered equivalent to the U.S. bachelor degree.     　　Academic Preparation: Minimum of a 3.0 grade point average (GPA) on a U.S. 4.0 scale or comparable grade point average in upper-division (junior and senior level) university course work and in any graduate work already completed.

    　2.English Language Requirements
    　　If English is not your first language or if English is not the official language of your home country, you must demonstrate English language proficiency. Most students will need to submit official English proficiency test scores (details below) that are LESS than 2 years old. Students seeking a graduate teaching assistantship may also be required to submit additional information to the graduate academic department.
    　English Proficiency Test Requirements
    　　To demonstrate English proficiency, students can take: the International English Language Testing System (IELTS), the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL), Pearson Test of English (Academic), or Cambridge CPE or CAE. Minimum score requirements are listed in the table below. Official test results must be sent directly to the University of New Mexico. The TOEFL code for UNM is 4845.

    　　The CPE or CAE test may also be accepted with a satisfactory score of C.
    　　Exceptions to the English Proficiency Test Requirements (only one exception required):
    　　Completion of four years of US high school with a 2.5 GPA or better.
    　　Bachelor's or graduate degree from an accredited institution in the United States, English-speaking Canada, the United Kingdom, South Africa, Australia, or New Zealand.
    　　1 year of full-time study (minimum 18 credit hours) at a regionally-accredited US college or university with a 3.0 GPA or higher completed within the last two years.
    　　Completion of two semesters of freshman English composition (English 110 and 120 equivalent) with a GPA of 2.0 or higher at a regionally- accredited U.S. college or university.
    　　Bachelor's degree from a regionally-accredited US college or university.
    　　Attendance in the Center for English Language and American Culture (CELAC)program at UNM with a passing Institutional TOEFL score and a recommendation from the CELAC program director.
    　Conditional Admission
    　　The University of New Mexico does not offer conditional admission at the graduate level of study.

    　　劍橋熟練英語(yǔ)或劍橋高級(jí)英語(yǔ)如果達(dá)到C，令人滿意，也可以被接受。
    　不需要滿足英語(yǔ)熟練考試要求的情況(符合一種情況即可)：
    　　(1)在美國(guó)高中完成四年學(xué)習(xí)，平均績(jī)點(diǎn)達(dá)到或超過(guò)2.5
    　　(2)拿到美國(guó)、加拿大英語(yǔ)區(qū)、英國(guó)、南非、澳大利亞或新西蘭官方機(jī)構(gòu)授予的學(xué)士學(xué)位或研究生學(xué)位
    　　(3)最近兩年里在美國(guó)區(qū)域官方學(xué)院或大學(xué)完成一年全日制學(xué)習(xí)，完成至少十八個(gè)學(xué)分，平均績(jī)點(diǎn)達(dá)到或超過(guò)3.0
    　　(4)在完成美國(guó)區(qū)域官方學(xué)院或大學(xué)兩個(gè)學(xué)期的大一英語(yǔ)寫(xiě)作，英語(yǔ)110和120同等，平均績(jī)點(diǎn)達(dá)到或超過(guò)2.0
    　　(5)拿到美國(guó)區(qū)域官方學(xué)院或大學(xué)授予的學(xué)士學(xué)位
    　　(6)在新墨西哥大學(xué)“英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言與美國(guó)文化中心”學(xué)習(xí)，通過(guò)托?？荚?，得到中心課程主任的推薦。

    　　新墨西哥大學(xué)不提供研究生有條件錄取。
