The Duchossois Leadership Scholars Program is a nationally preeminent, elite scholarship program providing full-tuition with a room and board allowance attracting top students nationwide who demonstrate exceptional leadership potential and academic success in their projected field. The Duchossois Family Foundation makes this scholarship possible.
Scholars Selection Criteria
The goal of the Duchossois Leadership Scholars Program is to attract promising young leaders to Illinois Institute of Technology and to develop them into future leaders of business, government, and academe. The Duchossois Leadership Scholars represent the highest level of our nation's high school talent pool who have demonstrated exceptional leadership abilities and provided exceptional services to their communities.
Duchossois Scholars may be selected only prior to entering Illinois Tech as first-year students; currently enrolled students are not eligible. Students majoring in any program are eligible. Students competing for the scholars program must be United States citizens or permanent residents, and satisfy high selection standards including:
An outstanding academic ability with a minimum 3.5 high school GPA, and ACT/SAT scores in the top 10 percent nationally
Strong leadership potential with demonstrated extra-curricular leadership activity
Outstanding communication skills, a positive personality, and a capacity for original thought
A sense of caring that reaches beyond self
Students must complete a supplemental application for the Duchossois Leadership Scholars Program (including an essay, resume, and two letters of recommendation) in addition to the regular application for admission to Illinois Tech. If selected as a finalist from the pool of applicants, students must interview during Scholarship Weekend in mid-February on Illinois Tech's Mies Campus in Chicago. Finalists will interview with a committee that will include the Duchossois Leadership Professors and current Duchossois Leadership Scholars. The interview committee will make recommendations to a final selection committee staffed by senior IIT administration.
Students coming from households with an annual income of $200,000 or more are not eligible for the Duchossois Leadership Scholarship.

Scholars Benefits
Duchossois Leadership Scholars will receive the following scholarship benefits to allow them to attend and participate in leadership and academic activities at Illinois Institute of Technology:
Full Tuition—Duchossois Leadership Scholars will be provided a full-tuition scholarship for undergraduate study at Illinois Tech for up to four years, provided they maintain the criteria of the scholarship; or for up to five years for students pursuing a joint B.S./M.S. program or another baccalaureate degree program that normally requires five years to complete, provided they continue to meet the criteria of the scholarship.
Room and Board Allowance—Duchossois Leadership Scholars will be provided with support to cover 100 percent of their meal plans and housing on Main Campus, including residence halls and fraternity/sorority housing (excluding State Street Village). A requirement of the Duchossois Leadership Scholars Program is that scholars must live on campus for their first two years. No room and board support will be provided for scholars who choose to live off-campus after their second year.
Summer Educational Experience—Duchossois Leadership Scholars will take part in a fully funded summer educational experience each summer after the students' first, second, and third years at IIT. Summer educational experiences may be led by one of the four Duchossois Leadership Professors and could include an international experience, a community or government service experience, a summer internship with a corporate entity, or another leadership and service activity designed by a Duchossois Leadership Professor.
Fall Retreat—Duchossois Leadership Scholars will take part in a fully funded team-building experience once per academic year. Previous retreats have included a segway tour of Chicago, a cooking class, and a room escape adventure.
Mentoring—Each Duchossois Leadership Scholar will receive ongoing mentoring and leadership support by both an assigned Duchossois Leadership Professor and third-year Duchossois Leadership Scholars. These close, supportive relationships will support scholars' ongoing projects in their areas of interest and nurture their leadership activities on campus or in the community. Scholars and Duchossois Leadership Professors will be paired according to disciplinary interests, personal background, personal relationships, and career goals.
Duchossois Leadership Scholars Dinner—Each year, at the end of the spring semester, all Duchossois Leadership Scholars and Duchossois Leadership Professors will be invited to a celebratory dinner to report on their academic and community leadership progress, to discuss summer plans, and to reflect on their time as participants in the Duchossois Leadership Program.
Duchossois Scholars will be provided the opportunity to meet with the donor each year. IIT will work with the donor to schedule and organize this meeting.
The students will bear their expenses for books, fees, reference materials, computers and/or other learning tools.

CROWN SCHOLARSHIP
Each year the Crown Scholarship provides full tuition for five years to one first-year, full-time architecture student. The Crown Scholarship looks for creativity, ingenuity and a desire to study architecture in a historic place like Chicago, IIT, and S. R. Crown Hall. Students need to provide academic credentials and an original freehand drawing. Selected applicants are invited to interview on campus in mid-February with a panel of architecture professionals and college studio faculty.
How to become a Crown Scholar
Candidates competing for the scholarship must satisfy very high selection standards. Open only to incoming first year students who are U.S. citizens or permanent residents, the scholarship has been awarded to candidates who demonstrate the following strengths:
Outstanding academic achievement
Excellent artistic skills in freehand drawing
Involvement in extracurricular activities, demonstrating leadership and independence
Crown Scholarship candidates must apply to Illinois Tech and must submit the following to the Office of Undergraduate Admission no later than December 1:

Complete and submit the application below, which will include:
A one-page essay explaining your interest in studying Architecture and specifically studying the discipline at Illinois Tech
Creative work consisting of 4-20 pieces of work expressing your interest in architecture. Must include at least one freehand drawing. You will upload your creative work electronically, but please remember that originals will be required for the campus interview taking place in mid-February.
One letter of recommendation from an individual who knows you well and can assess your creativity and leadership potential.
Your application will be reviewed by College of Architecture studio faculty and representatives from the Chicago architectural community. After a review of all applications finalists will be invited to interview on campus during Scholarship Weekend in mid-February. Within two weeks of the Scholarship Weekend, you will be notified if you are selected for the Crown Scholarship. Please note: the recipient of the Crown Scholarship is required to inform the College of Architecture of their acceptance/denial decision by April 1.

M.A. AND LILA SELF LEADERSHIP ACADEMY SCHOLARS
Named for University Regent Al Self and his wife, Lila, the M.A. and Lila Self Leadership Academy Scholarship is a distinguished and prestigious award given to the top applicants to the university that demonstrate exceptional leadership potential.
Scholarship Details
Full tuition scholarship covering 4 years of the recipient’s undergraduate education. Scholarship extends to 5 years for Architecture students.
Applies only to full-time undergraduate students at Illinois Tech.
Satisfactory academic progress (defined in the Illinois Tech Student Handbook as a minimum grade point average of 3.0 in each semester) is required.
Annual renewal of the scholarship is contingent upon satisfactory academic progress and attendance at all Leadership Academy-sponsored programs, including but not limited to Saturday leadership seminars, regular scholar meetings, and sophomore leadership retreats.
Scholars are required to actively participate on a committee of their choosing to support development of the Leadership Academy programs.
Scholars are required to contribute 10 hours of service to community service projects officially sponsored by the Leadership Academy.
All scholars must also adhere to university-wide codes of conduct. Students who are accused and found guilty of conduct not in keeping with the code of conduct are subject to dismissal from the Academy.

CHICAGO POLICE AND FIRE DEPARTMENTS SCHOLARSHIP
In honor of their service to the city of Chicago, IIT offers $20,000 annual scholarships to the children and grandchildren of members of the Chicago Police Department and Chicago Fire Department. The Chicago Police and Fire Departments Scholarship is also open to the children and grandchildren of members of the Chicago Paramedic Department.
How to apply

Special Note: Illinois Institute of Technology recognizes the contributions of police and fire professionals who live in Cook Country and acknowledges that many departments outside of the City of Chicago collaborate with city departments as necessary. Therefore, we are pleased to invite police officers, fire fighters and paramedics from Cook County to apply for the Chicago Police and Fire Departments Tuition Scholarship.
PLEASE NOTE: If a student earns multiple Illinois Institute of Technology merit scholarships throughout the admission process, the university will award the highest merit award for which the student is qualified, but will not combine multiple awards. COLLENS SCHOLARS PROGRAM
The Collens Scholarship provides full tuition and fees to eligible high school seniors with significant need graduating from a Chicago public high school or a Chicago charter high school to attend IIT as a full-time student.

Demonstrate significant financial need with an Adjusted Gross Income of $60,000 or less or be Pell eligible through the FAFSA
Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Complete verification process with the Office of Financial Aid
All majors are open to receive the Collens Scholarship. Most Collens Scholars have ACT scores that range from a 23-30, have an average weighted GPA of a 3.9, or rank in the top ten percent of their class.
Students awarded the Collens Scholarship will receive notification in their financial aid package beginning in March.

ILLINOIS TECH/FIRST SCHOLARSHIP
Illinois Tech/FIRST scholarships are awarded to students who actively participate in the FIRST Tech Challenge and the FIRST Robotics Competition. This program attracts candidates that demonstrate a strong academic record, passion for science and technology, and drive to become a leader, entrepreneur or innovator. Recipients of a FIRST scholarship are eligible for a merit scholarship award of $20,000 per year for up to four years (five years for Architecture).
Requirements
Be a senior in high school.
Have participated in at least one full season during your junior or senior year on a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) team or a FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC) team.
Steps to Apply
Complete and submit an application for regular admission through the Common Application.
Complete and submit the application below, which will include:
A one page essay describing your involvement in FIRST.
PLEASE NOTE: If a student earns multiple Illinois Institute of Technology merit scholarships throughout the admission process, the university will award the highest merit award for which the student is qualified, but will not combine multiple awards. For instance, the Illinois Tech/FIRST Scholarship may not be combined with a previously awarded Camras, Collens, University or Heald Scholarship.

2.完成并遞交一頁紙短文，描述你對競賽的參與情況。
請注意：如果你在入學(xué)的時候多項優(yōu)秀獎學(xué)金，則學(xué)校將只給你發(fā)放金額最高的一項，而不會將多項獎學(xué)金結(jié)合。例如，伊利諾伊理工大學(xué)/第一獎學(xué)金也許不能同先前頒發(fā)的卡姆拉斯獎學(xué)金、卡勒斯獎學(xué)金、大學(xué)獎學(xué)金或希爾德獎學(xué)金結(jié)合。
