Student Centres
A student centre operates on each major campus as a single point for students to access a comprehensive range of services. The St Lucia Student Centre on Level One, J.D. Story Building is currently open from 8.30am to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Student Services staff help University of Queensland students and staff manage personal, career, welfare and learning issues. The service, located in the Relaxation Block, operates from 8am until 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

UQ Union
The Union Office on Level 4, Union Building opens Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5pm. Services include providing information about the Union, maps of the University, bus and ferry timetables, handbooks and general information leaflets. Union organisers assist students with matters related to study, exams, Austudy, women's issues, accommodation, part time employment, and emergency loans.

UniSafe
The University developed its UniSafe program as a personal safety initiative to raise awareness and maximise personal safety on campus. The program is now licensed to other universities throughout Australia. At UQ it includes services such as a Safety Bus, an Escort Service and a network of Emergency Call Points on the St Lucia, Ipswich and Gatton campuses.
