The University of Notre Dame Australia’s Broome Campus offers university education in the remote Kimberley region of Western Australia. To support this initiative, it is essential to provide modern student accommodation on campus.
The aim of the student accommodation is the provision of a supportive environment that helps students to succeed in their studies at Notre Dame, Broome.
The accommodation is a diverse, multicultural community which is a safe, friendly place to live. In this way the reconciliation theme of Notre Dame, Broome is fostered by bringing together people of different cultures, backgrounds, age, race and religion.
Pastoral care is an important part of the Notre Dame Mission Statement. A Residential manager and Assistant live on campus to oversee the running of the accommodation. The manager and assistant are there to offer support and guidance to students especially those who have recently left home to study in Broome Living on campus, students have ready access to the campus library and computer facilities.

Where is Notre Dame's Accommodation Located?
The Residential Halls are in the centre of the Fremantle Campus and therefore close to all Campus facilities. The Fremantle Campus is located in the historic West End of Fremantle, the main port city of Western Australia, 18 kilometres from Perth. It is a 'town' university and the only one of its type in Australia. The beautiful buildings of both the Campus and the surrounding city of Fremantle lend a distinctive character to Notre Dame. Supermarkets, cafes, restaurants, beautiful beaches and sport and recreation facilities are within walking distance or are easily accessible by public transport.

Recreation spaces

There is a lockable space available for bicycles.
Internet
All three residential halls have access to wireless internet.

Student Services maintains an accommodation notice board for Notre Dame students to advertise and seek accommodation. The accommodation service is a referral service, therefore the listings of any available rental properties have not been inspected nor has any individual offering share opportunities been interviewed or police checked. Any lease negotiated between a student and a landlord or homeowner is the responsibility of the parties involved. No accommodation is pre-arranged or personally provided for individual students by Notre Dame. There is a link on the accommodation notice board for students to advertise that they are seeking accommodation also.

University of Notre Dame Australia, Sydney Campus
Notre Dame’s Sydney Campus is located on two sites, Broadway and Darlinghurst. Both sites are conveniently located near public transport, shops, cafes and the CBD.
The Broadway Site houses the Schools of Arts & Sciences, Business, Education, Law and Philosophy & Theology. It is located in the higher education precinct of Sydney, a five-minute walk from Central Railway Station, with buses arriving on the University’s doorstep.
The Darlinghurst Site is home to the Schools of Medicine and Nursing, where students undertake studies in a purpose built facility.

Broadway is at the heart of Sydney’s University Precinct, only a short walk from Central Railway Station and 10 minutes from Darling Harbour, the Chinese Gardens and King Street wharf.
Darlinghurst
Darlinghurst, known for its shopping strip, cafe and club culture, is situated east of the CBD with Oxford Street running through the centre of the suburb. At night, Darlinghurst comes alive, offering an array of restaurants and entertainment venues. Attractions close to Darlinghurst include the Art Gallery of NSW, the Sydney Botanical Gardens, St Mary’s Cathedral and Hyde and Centennial Parks.
The University of Notre Dame Australia, Sydney Campus, offers an accommodation information service to students looking for off-campus accommodation in the surrounding areas. Local real estate agencies or private owners advise The University of Notre Dame Australia, Sydney Campus of available properties for rent in the Sydney city district. When considering renting a property, students should consider that landlords require rent to be paid in advance and the payment of a security bond equal to one month’s rent.
