Student Exchange Program (IU-SEP)
巖手大學學生交換項目
Iwate University offers an exciting and eye-opening international community program “Iwate University Student Exchange Program (IU-SEP)” for exchange students from partner universities according to the student exchange agreement. This program provides 4 programs (5 courses). Students will take one of the following courses depending on their major in home university.
Iwate Area Studies Program(Humanities course)
Northern Tohoku Region Art and Culture Program(Artistic course)
Iwate Science Research Program
① Iwate Science and Engineering Research Program (Science and Engineering course )
② Iwate Bio Science Research Program (Bio Science course )
Open Study Program(Optional course )
巖手大學提供有令人興奮并能開拓視野的國際團體課程“巖手大學學生交換項目”。該項目根據(jù)學生交換協(xié)議，適用于伙伴大學的交換生。該項目有四個小項目(五門課)。學生可以根據(jù)所在大學學習的專業(yè)，選擇任意一門課。
1.巖手地區(qū)學習課程(人文課)
2.北Tohoku區(qū)藝術(shù)與文化課程(藝術(shù)課)
3.巖手科學研究課程
①巖手科學與工程研究課程(科學與工程課)
②巖手生物科學研究課程(生物科學課)
4.開放學習課程(選修課)
Requirement for Application
申請要求
To apply for IU-SEP, applicants must:
not be of Japanese Nationality.
be registered as a full time regular student as an undergraduate or a postgraduate (MA or PhD) at one of the universities that has a student exchange agreement with Iwate University. In addition, applicants must maintain their regular student status at their home university throughout the period they are enrolled at Iwate University. They also must return to their university after completing the program at Iwate University, and continue their study at their home university.
have a good academic standing and good personal records at their home university.
have clear objectives and plans, and good outcomes can be expected from their study and research.
have good Japanese or English proficiency to understand courses and instructions.
be able to obtain a college student visa to enter Japan.
be recommended by the President or a head of a department of their home university.
申請巖手大學交換生項目，申請人必須滿足以下條件：
1.國籍不是日本國籍;
2.注冊為全日制統(tǒng)招生(本科生或研究生)，所在大學需要與巖手大學有學生交換協(xié)議。此外，申請人在注冊巖手大學期間，必須保持在原先大學的統(tǒng)招生注冊身份。完成巖手大學的學習之后，必須回到原先的大學，繼續(xù)學業(yè);
3.學術(shù)成績突出，在所在大學有良好的個人記錄;
4.有清晰的目標和計劃，以便從學習和研究中取得好的成績;
5.具備日語或英語語言能力，能聽懂課程和指導;
6.有能力獲得入境日本所需的大學生簽證;
7.由所在大學校長或?qū)W院院長推薦。
School Year

The term of this program is either one semester or two semesters as a general rule.
Spring Semester：April 1 ? Mid August
(Period of course: Early April ? Early August) (15 weeks)
Fall Semester ：September 27 ?Mid February
(Period of course: Last September ? Early February) (15 weeks)
Classes are not held on Saturdays, Sundays and national holidays. There are summer, winter and spring vacations when the students study by themselves.
1.一般來說，該項目的期限是一個學期或兩個學期。
2.春季學期：4月1日至8月中旬;課程期限：4月上旬至8月上旬(共15周)
秋季學期：9月27日至次年2月中旬;課程期限：9月下旬至次年2月上旬(共15周)
周六、周日和法定節(jié)假日不上課。學生自己學習的時候，有暑假、寒假和春假。

Guidance and Support

Each student will have an academic supervisor. These supervisors and teachers at Global Education Center will give them guidance and support not only for college life but also for your life in Iwate. students also will have a student tutor who supports their study and everyday life.
每個學生都會有學術(shù)指導。全球教育中心的這些學術(shù)指導和老師不僅提供大學生活方面的指導和支持，也提供學生在巖手生活相關(guān)的指導和支持。此外，還有輔導員為學生提供學習和日常生活方面的支持。
Evaluation, Credits & Diploma
評估、學分和文憑
Exchange students who earned credits will receive a transcript will be issued to prove their completion of courses, course scores, and acquirement of credits. To those who completed each program, a certificate of completion will be issued.
Credits students earned at Iwate University can be transferred to their home institutions. Some credits, however, may have to be confirmed with the home institutions' supervisors before being accepted.
1.拿到學分的交換生會收到成績單。成績單用以證明課程的完成情況、課程成績和獲得的學分。對于完成單門課程的學生，將發(fā)放結(jié)業(yè)證書。
2.學生在巖手大學獲得的學分可以轉(zhuǎn)為原先大學學分。但是，某些學分在被認可之前，需要得到先前所在大學指導老師的同意。
Courses and Curriculums
課和課程
Each Courses has a list of "Subjects taken by the exchange students in the past".
Students are to choose classes based on this class list. Some other classes not on this list may be taken, however, adequate Japanese proficiency is required to take such classes since most of them are conducted in Japanese only. If students would like to take such subjects, they have to consult with supervisor of Iwate Univrsity beforehand.
每門課都有一個列表，列出交換生在過去所學的科目。
學生根據(jù)這個課表選課。但是，某些課沒有在列表上列出，也可以上。對于這種情況，需要具備一定的日語能力，因為大部分課程都是用日語授課。如果學生要學習這類課程，學生需要提前和巖手大學的指導老師溝通。
Tuition and other expenses
學費和其他開支
The admission fees and tuition for the dispatched international students will be not collected by Iwate University. However, students have to pay their tuition to their home institutions. Also, students have to pay their personal costs, including travel expenses,accommodation fees, living expenses, costs of text books,health insurance premiums, student union fees and other educational expenses. Students are recommeded to take out some kind of accident liability insurance.
被派遣的國際學生，其入學費和學費不由巖手大學收取。但是，學生必須在原先所在的大學支付學費。此外，學生需要支付個人費用，包括旅費、住宿費、生活費、教材費、一醫(yī)療保險費、學生會員費和其他教育相關(guān)費用。建議學生購買交通事故強制保險。
Housing
住宿
Iwate University operates the International House for international students. The monthly rent including common area charge is 9,000JPY (as of March 2017). In addition, students are also charged for the electricity, gas and water.
If the International House has no rooms available, Iwate University may provide the students a private apartment that Iwate University rents or domitories(living with Japanese students).
巖手大學有適合國際學生居住的國際之家。月租包括公共區(qū)費用，總共9,000日元(截至2017年3月)。此外，學生需要支付電費、氣費和水費。
如果國際之家沒有房間可住，巖手大學可以為學生提供巖手大學租的私房或宿舍(和日本學生一起住)。
Scholarship
獎學金
If the IU-SEP is adopted by a scholarship program from Japan Student Services Organizations (JASSO), students may receive this scholarship. However, students participating "Open Study Program (Free Choice Coures)" are not eligible for this scholarship.
* The applicants must meet certain requirements of academic records.
* The credits obtained by the recipients of the scholarship at Iwate University must be transfered to the credits of home university.
如果巖手大學交換生項目得到日本學生服務機構(gòu)獎學金支持，學生可以申請該獎學金。但是，參與開放學習課程(自由選修課)的學生不能申請這項獎學金。

Application Procedure

★Step 1
Please fill out these two forms: Application form for IU-SEP and Application for Certificate of Eligibility. Send via email the completed forms as attachments to: gryugaku@iwate-u.ac.jp . Enter “Student Exchange Program” in the subject line of your email.
★Step 2
Please print out your completed copies of the two application forms in Step 1 and paste your photo on each application.

Notification of documentation
錄取通知
The acceptance letter and the certificate of eligibility will be sent out from Iwate University in the mid-February (April enrollment) and mid-August (October enrollment).
The information for Japanese Visa, Passport procedure and the placement test of Japanese language skill will be enclosed in the notification.
錄取通知書和身份合格證書將于2月中旬(4月入學)和8月中旬(8月入學)由巖手大學發(fā)出。
日本簽證、護照流程和日語語言技能考試安排等信息包括在錄取通知書中。
Arrival Schedule
達到日程
Please arrange your schedule to enable yourself to arrive in Morioka before one week prior to the start of the term. After the decision of acceptance, the schedule and method of entering Japan will be provided by the International Office.
For further information, please make contact with your supervisor at your home institution, your designated Iwate University supervisor, and our International Office at Iwate University.
請安排好日程，確保在開學之前的一周之前達到盛岡。在作出錄取決定之后，入境日本的時間和辦法相關(guān)信息將由國際辦公室提供。
