【Eligibility Requirements】
You must have a non-Japanese nationality and have satisfactorily completed the full primary and secondary school education in a non-Japanese educational system. In addition, you must satisfy at least ONE of the following requirements.
(1) You have completed or expect to complete a 16-year school education in a non-Japanese education system by March 31, 2017 (see note 1).
(2) You have graduated or expect to graduate from a Japanese university by March 31, 2017 as an international student.
(3) You are deemed, in a result of eligibility pre-screening within the Graduate School, to have attained a level of academic proficiency on a par with a college graduate (see note 2) , and will be 22 years of age by March 31, 2017 (see note 3).
Note:
1. You are eligible to apply if you will have been awarded a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent degree by March 31, 2017. In case you will not be awarded a bachelor’s degree, your application must be verified for eligibility pre-screening by the Graduate School.
2. An international student who has completed the primary, secondary, and undergraduate university education in a country where said curriculums are typically completed in less than 16 years will be granted eligibility provided that the student (1) is at least 22 years of age, (2) after graduating from university has spent an adequate period of time (1 year or more) conducting research as a postgraduate student or research fellow in a research institute attached to a university inside or outside of Japan, an inter-university research institute, or some comparable facility, and (3) is deemed by the Graduate School l to have attained a level of academic proficiency on a par with a university graduate.
3. Applications based on requirement (3) must be verified application for eligibility pre-screening by the Graduate School.
In case of Note:1 and 3, applicants must submit the materials required for eligibility pre-screening before the due date specified below. While eligibility pre-screening is in process, please DO NOT remit the screening fee until the Office of School of Science and Technology notifies you of the result. (You should remit the screening fee only after your application is accepted.)
4. Those who have graduated from a university, and have been approved through their experiences as researchers at any universities or research institutes over a 2-year period, as having scholastic abilities equivalent to or greater than those required for a Master’s Degree. Or, persons who have completed a correspondence course given by a non-Japanese educational institution abroad for 16 years overseas or in Japan, and who have been approved as having scholastic abilities equivalent to or greater than those required for a Master’s Degree through their research results which they have accomplished during their experience as researchers at any universities or research institutions for over a 2-year period.
5. Persons residing in Japan must be intending to pursue academic studies and be eligible for a residence status of “College Student” or the equivalent under the Immigration Control and Refugee Recognition Act.

Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet the following three criteria:
(1) Applicants must meet at least one of the following conditions:
i) Hold a Master’s Degree, Professional Master’s Degree, or an equivalent qualification; or are scheduled to receive such a degree by September 19, 2017.
ii) Recognized by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, Japan.*
iii) Completed postgraduate programs and have received a degree equivalent to a Master’s Degree from a United Nations University or are scheduled to receive such a degree by September 19, 2017.
iv) Recognition by the Graduate School of Global Governance’s screening procedure is equivalent to point i), and will reach the age of 24 by September 19, 2017.*
Note: The university may seek to verify applicants’ qualification in advance if it is unclear in their application.
(2) Non-Japanese applicants must acquire or extend a visa with “College Student” status, issued by the Immigration Bureau of Japan.
(3) Applicants whose first language is not English must have acquire a score of one of the following English proficiency tests and submit the official score report. The test score is only valid if received within the past two years of the application deadline (May 19, 2017). ?

Note: The following tests are not acceptable: TOEFL® CBT, TOEFL® ITP, and IELTS (general training modules).

iii) 從一所聯(lián)合國大學(xué)完成研究生專業(yè)學(xué)習(xí)，并且獲得等同于碩士學(xué)位的學(xué)位資格，或者在2017年9月19日之前將會獲得這樣的學(xué)位資格;
iv) 全球治理研究生學(xué)院的篩查程序中認(rèn)可具備i)中同等學(xué)歷資格的學(xué)生，并且在2017年9月19日之前將年滿24歲。*
請注意：如果學(xué)生不清楚自己的申請資格的話，可以提前向明治大學(xué)驗(yàn)證自己的入學(xué)申請資格。
(2) 非日本國籍申請者必須獲得或者延長日本移民局簽發(fā)的“大學(xué)生”狀態(tài)簽證。
(3) 第一語言不是英語的申請者必須從以下英語語言能力考試中獲得達(dá)到一定標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的考試成績，并且遞交正式的考試成績報(bào)告給明治大學(xué)?？荚嚦煽兊挠行r(shí)間是兩年，申請者必須保證在申請截止時(shí)間(2017年5月19日)的時(shí)候，考試成績在有效期限以內(nèi)。
托福網(wǎng)考成績：79分或者更高標(biāo)準(zhǔn);
托福紙考成績：550分或者更高標(biāo)準(zhǔn);?
雅思考試(學(xué)術(shù)模塊) 6.0分或者更高標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。
請注意：明治大學(xué)不接受以下考試成績：托福機(jī)考、托福學(xué)院考試、以及雅思考試(一般訓(xùn)練模塊)。
