Paying your fees can be a stressful part of starting up at university, so that's why we're here to help you out every step of the way.

Do I have to pay a deposit?International students are required to pay a deposit of ￡4,000 for undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses. The exact amount you’ll be required to pay will be listed as a condition in your offer letter, and you’ll not be issued a Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies (CAS) until the deposit has been received by our University.
Requests for refunds of any deposit paid will be administered in accordance with our fees policy – which can be located in the Rules, Regulations and Procedures for Students (section 3, refunding tuition fees) and a refund of a deposit where applicable may not be given in the event of a refusal of a visa application should Anglia Ruskin University not be at fault, including if the refund arises from you giving false or incomplete information to the UK Visas and Immigration (UKVI).
Or alternatively you can provide a letter of sponsorship/financial guarantee. This must be on letterhead paper and include the following information:
name of the programme and academic year for which the sponsorship applies
amount of sponsorship (for example, full fees or a specified amount in pounds sterling)
your full name (as stated on your passport)
your Student Identification Number
address and named contact to which Anglia Ruskin University should send the invoice
full name and address of the sponsoring institution.

When do I need to pay my fees?After you have paid your deposit, you can decide to pay the rest of your fees in full, or you can follow our University's instalment payment plan. Early payment discounts are available for new students, if you choose to pay your full annual tuition fee.
Instalment plans for new international students
If you choose to pay your tuition fees in instalments, you’ll pay a ￡4,000 deposit, then instalments as follows:
Students starting in September: 60% of the remaining fees (after the deposit) at registration, a further 40% in January.
Students starting in January: 60% of the remaining fees (after the deposit) at registration, a further 40% in May.
All tuition fee instalments are deducted for payment on the 15th of the appropriate month.
Note that if you don't pay your fees by the agreed dates, you may not be able to continue your studies or graduate.

How do I pay my fees?
If you're paying your fees before the start of your course, or by instalments: please use our University's web payments system. If you're not able to pay online, please contact your Admissions Officer who can give you advice about paying by bank to bank transfer, cheque, or bankers draft.
If you're paying your fees once you arrive at our University: you can make a payment in person at our Finance office (we’ve got offices in Cambridge and Chelmsford) using cash, debit or credit card, cheque, or bankers draft.

Can I pay my fees in my own currency?Yes you can. Whether you're paying your fees in full or by instalments, you can pay them in your own currency using Western Union, a specialist in international payments.

Early payment discounts

If you're an international student and you’re paying your annual tuition fees in full before the deadlines below we’ll offer you an early payment discount of either ￡400 or ￡1,000.
￡1,000 early payment discount
This discount is applicable to 1st year full-time international students only (undergraduate and postgraduate taught).
To take advantage of the discount, pay your full tuition fees minus the ￡1,000 early payment discount and your International Merit Scholarship (if applicable).
To qualify for this discount, your full tuition fees must have cleared in our University's bank account by 5pm on Friday 14 July 2017.
Discount example*:
Tuition fee 1st year: ￡11,700
International Merit Scholarship (if applicable): ￡1,000
Early payment discount: ￡1,000
Amount to pay: ￡9,700

This discount is not applicable to pre-sessional, EFL, postgraduate research students, students transferring from partner institutions and students who have been awarded any standalone scholarships. The maximum discount and scholarship you can achieve is ￡2,000.

￡400 early payment discount
This discount is applicable to our full-time international students (undergraduate, postgraduate taught and postgraduate research).
To qualify for this discount, your full tuition fees must have cleared in our University's bank account by 5pm on Friday 8 September 2017 - or in the case of postgraduate research students by 5pm on:
15 September 2017 for students registering by 29 September 2017
12 January 2018 for students registering by 31 January 2018.
13 April 2018 for students registering by 30 April 2018.
If you are taking advantage of the discount, you must pay your full tuition fees minus your International Merit Scholarship (if applicable) and the ￡400 early payment discount.
Please note that this discount is not applicable to pre-sessional, EFL, continuation fees for postgraduate research and students who have been awarded any standalone scholarships.

When paying your tuition fees, please be aware of bank charges and local conversion rates. Bank transfers can take up to five working days for our finance office to process. You should also take into account the processing time of your local bank.
