The scholarship will be in the form of a cash payment paid in installments across the academic year. This scholarship is to help cover the associated costs of studying these subjects (e.g. travel to work placement destinations).
Please note the scholarship is only applicable to those courses where fees are payable by the student. Where a student receives government (or other) funding that reduces the fee amount they are required to pay, the cash value will be equivalent to 50% of the fee the student needs to pay.
E.g. If you applied for a ￡9000 PGCE, and received a ￡3000 government bursary, your final fee to pay to the University would be ￡6000. Therefore the 50% cash award will only apply to the remaining fee amount and in this instance would amount to a ￡3000 scholarship.
