About the Award
A 10% reduction is available to new international students beginning a full time course in September 2017 who have paid their tuition fees in full by 30 June 2017.
This scholarship is awarded for the first year only, and is to be deducted from tuition fees.
Students are not required to submit an application to be considered for this scholarship. For more information please see below.
Eligibility
Students must be classified as international students paying the international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this scheme. Students paying NI/GB/EU fees are not eligible for international scholarships.
International scholarships cannot be used in conjunction with any other scholarship. Students can however use their scholarship in conjunction with the Early-Bird reward discount.
Students studying on a part-time basis, or on foundation degrees or distance learning programmes are not eligible for these scholarships.
This discount is applicable only for new students holding an unconditional offer and who pay 90% of their tuition fees, by 30 June 2017
Exclusions
Non-standard fee courses, including Medicine, Dentistry, Agricultural Technology and Theology
All Distance Learning programmes, foundation degree programmes and non-standard fee courses.

Amount
The accommodation award will cover full costs of a 51 week contract in Queen’s Halls of Residence. The accommodation award is equivalent to ￡123 per week which is the cost of a standard en-suite bedroom. Rooms are available within the Willow Walk or Mount Charles Housing Complexes.Please note that the rooms available are standard, single en-suite bedrooms.

ACCOMMODATION AWARD DETAILS--TERMS AND CONDITIONS
The Accommodation Award available covers private, single en-suite rooms in Queen’s University Accommodation only. The award cannot be used to obtain off-campus housing.
Students offered the International Accommodation Award must:
1. Accept the scholarship by deadline of the 30th June. The Faculty Office reserves the right to withdraw the offer of a scholarship if it is not accepted by the given deadline.
2. Meet any conditions attached to your academic offer.
3. Register on your academic course by the given start date, as specified in your confirmation email. Scholarships may not be deferred to the following academic year.
4. Students must be classified as international fee paying students paying the international tuition fee rate in order to be considered for this scheme. Students paying NI/GB/EU fees are not eligible for international scholarships.
5. Inform the Faculty Office of any other scholarships/sponsorship currently held, or awarded at a later date. Our scholarship may be adjusted or withdrawn if other sources of funding have been awarded- such as the Queen’s Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship. Our scholarship is not available as a cash alternative. This award CAN be used in conjunction with the International Office Scholarship however.
6. Pay all outstanding tuition fees by University deadlines.
7. Have means to cover their living costs for subsequent years of study as the Accommodation Award will only be offered for year 1. UKVI requires students to have ￡1,015 for each month of your course to cover living costs.
Please Note - Students in receipt of full funding from external sponsorship bodies will not be eligible for the PGR accommodation award.
