FRESHMAN REQUIREMENTS
Freshmen must:
1. Provide evidence of high school graduation with a curriculum that would prepare you for university studies in your home country

2. Have a GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale;
3. Submit English proficiency test scores (dependent upon score level, scores are used to either determine English proficiency or to estimate students' placement in an appropriate level of ESL courses, as needed)
Additional Required Materials:
If, after high school, there was a period of time longer than 3 months that you were not enrolled in an educational program, you must write a short statement about your activitiy during that time. If you attended courses of any kind, include that information.
In addition to transcripts or marksheets, you must present an official diploma or graduation certificate, official examination results, or other proof of graduation particular to your country. We use equivalent admission criteria for applicants from all countries. Meeting the minimum grade point average does not guarantee admission.
SAT Information
If you have an SAT score to submit, the University of Kansas will accept both the new SAT and the old SAT. We will use concordance tables to compare your scores and determine your highest scores on either the new SAT or the old SAT. At this time, any SAT scores listed are based on the new SAT (after March 2016).

TRANSFER REQUIREMENTS
If you have taken any post-secondary courses, including college, university, or vocational coursework after high school graduation, you are considered a transfer student and must submit academic records from all schools you have attended, including any ESL programs.
Transfer students must have a minimum GPA of 2.5 or the equivalent on all transfer coursework.
If you have fewer than 24 transferable credit hours from college, university, or vocational schools, you must present official high school transcripts, diploma or graduation certificate, official examination results, or other proof of graduation particular to your country.
We use equivalent admission criteria for applicants from all countries. If you have fewer than 24 credits of transfer coursework and will be submitting high school documentation along with your transfer transcripts, you must also have a minimum high school GPA of 2.5. Meeting the minimum grade point average does not guarantee admission.
Students on F-1 visas who wish to transfer from a school within the United States to KU should review International Student Services' transfer-in policies.

ENGLISH REQUIREMENTS
There is no minimum English proficiency test score for undergraduate admission to KU.
However, all applicants to KU must submit English proficiency test scores to be considered for admission.
English proficiency test scores must be less than two years old.
If you have a TOEFL iBT score below 79, a TOEFL paper based score of below 550, or an IELTS score below 6.5, you will be tested for English proficiency by the Applied English Center (AEC) when you arrive at KU. The AEC test will determine whether you enroll in full-time or part-time intensive English coursework or whether you will be eligible to begin full-time academic studies. The "Time in AEC" chart can help you estimate the duration of your intensive English coursework.
If you have a score of 79 or above on the TOEFL iBT, 550 or above on the paper based TOEFL, or a 6.5 or above on the IELTS, and you have consistent subscores, you are not required to take the AEC test when you arrive on campus and will be qualified to enroll in full-time degree coursework.
EXCEPTIONS
You do not have to submit English proficiency scores or take the AEC test if:
You have taken 4 years of college preparatory English and graduated from high school with a 2.5 GPA in one of the following places:
United States of America
The United Kingdom
Ireland
Australia
New Zealand
An English-speaking province of Canada
An English-speaking Caribbean country
Any US-accredited school located abroad
You are a transfer student who
Earned a B or better grade in English Composition 1 and 2 AND
Earned 24 or more credit-bearing hours toward a degree at an accredited US institution OR
Earned 24 credits in a country where English is the native language OR
Earned an associate's degree from a US-accredited post-secondary college
DEADLINE FOR SUBMITTING TEST SCORES AND/OR TRANSCRIPTS
If you do not submit a passing test score or transcripts showing sufficient evidence of English coursework (as detailed above) at the time of admission, you have until the end of the first day of international student orientation to submit test scores or transcripts in order to be waived from the AEC English proficiency test on campus.

READMISSION REQUIREMENTS
You are a readmit applicant if you are a former student returning to KU after a break in your undergraduate studies. You must have previously attended the University of Kansas in a degree program, enrolled in KU classes, and earned grades. If you have NEVER been enrolled in degree-program classes or are a previous applicant who has never been enrolled at KU, you should select Freshman or Transfer as your option for admission.
READMISSION TO KU AFTER ABSENCE FROM ENROLLMENT
All former KU students who wish to return to the University of Kansas after a break in their studies are required to apply for readmission by the readmission deadline.
REQUIRED MATERIALS
As a part of the application, students must account for their activity since leaving the university, describe the activity, and provide official transcripts of any schools they have attended since their last enrollment at KU. For those in F-1 or J-1 status, documents showing financial resources for one academic year must be submitted with the application.
LATE APPLICATIONS
Late applications may be considered on a case-by-case basis. There is no guarantee of admission or that applications will be processed by the first day of classes for late applicants.
ACADEMIC STANDING
Applicants may be readmitted if they left KU in good academic standing and are in good standing with all other institutions they have attended since their enrollment at KU. Readmission is not guaranteed to students who left or were dismissed from KU. Please check the readmission policy and GPA requirement of the school or division to which you seek readmission.
DISMISSED STUDENTS
If you were dismissed from KU and wish to be readmitted to the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, a minimum 2.5 GPA from the school(s) attended since your last KU enrollment is required. You must also fulfill other requirements of the college. Please read information on the CLAS website.

五、準備期限
