If you are a Bangor Alumni then you and your immediate family (spouse/siblings/children/grandchildren) are entitled to a tuition fee discount for any degree programmes that you choose to study at Bangor University in future.
For any Undergraduate courses undertaken by you as a Bangor alumni or a member of your immediate family, the UK fee rate of £9,000 will be charged per annum.
For any Postgraduate courses undertaken at Bangor University by you as a Bangor alumni or a member of your immediate family then you will receive a £1,000 discount off your tuition fees, in addition to any other IEC scholarship you or any member of your immediate family may be offered.

What are Chevening Scholarships?
Chevening scholarships are the UK government's global scholarship programme, funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) and partner organisations.
The scholarships are awarded to outstanding scholars with leadership potential.
Awards are typically for a one year Master’s degree at universities across the UK.

Who can apply for a Chevening Scholarship?
Chevening Scholarships are for talented professionals who have been identified as potential future leaders across a wide range of fields, including politics, business, the media, civil society, religion, and academia.

Bangor University is offering talented Chinese students the opportunity to undertake a fully funded PhD programme at Bangor University, UK. Full scholarships are available for students starting a PhD in 2017-18. With Bangor's scholarship offer, students can apply for further funding to cover living expenses from China Scholarship Council (CSC).

How to apply?
Applications are now open. The deadline for applications for enrolment in 2017-18 is 20 December, 2016.
Prospective PhD students are encouraged to approach individual Bangor University schools and supervisors with details of their proposed project
Once it has been established that the project is viable and the supervisor(s) is able and willing to supervise the student, the student should submit a PhD application to Bangor
Applicants should mention their intention to apply for the CSC Bangor Scholarship in their PhD application
Students will be informed of the admission decision in March 2017.
Final admission is subject to students securing the CSC stipend. They must apply to the CSC by 5th April 2017.
Joint PhD
This programme will also support PhD students to study at Bangor University for a period of 6-12 months. Bangor University will not award a degree to joint PhD students.
