Scholarships
There are several ways to fund your studies at Aalto University. Prospective non-EU/EEA students applying to Aalto University Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes as well as Nordic Master programmes are eligible to apply for scholarships awarded from the Aalto University Scholarship programme. Certain international joint degree programmes have their own tuition fees and scholarship schemes. By a decision made by the Vice President in charge of Education, Aalto University's scholarships are not available in the CCIS second application round.

Aalto University Scholarship programme
Aalto University Scholarship programme seeks to recognize talented non-EU/EEA students across the world by awarding academic excellence. Aalto University scholarships are merit-based and are granted on a competitive basis. The number of scholarships per degree programme is limited and depends on the overall number of selected non-EU/EEA students per degree programme.

Scope of scholarship
Scholarships cover either 50 % or 100 % of the tuition fee. Scholarship recipients must still be able to fund their living costs, as per the requirements of the Finnish Immigration Service.

At the moment, Aalto University does not offer any scholarships to cover living costs in Finland. Students are expected to cover all living expenses (app. EUR 800 per month) and other study related costs from their own financial resources.

How to apply for a scholarship?
Non-EU/EEA citizens can apply for the scholarship at the same time they apply for their preferred study options with the same application form during the application period. Only students who are liable to pay tuition at Aalto University are eligible to apply for Aalto University scholarships (tuition fee waivers). It is not possible to apply for the scholarship after the application period has ended. Scholarships are not available in the CCIS second application round.

Scholarship decisions
The scholarship decisions are made on the basis of academic evaluation of the applicants selected to the study programmes. The scholarship decision is given at the same time with the admission decision. No appeal may be lodged against a university decision pertaining to a scholarship.

Duration of scholarship
Scholarships are granted for the normative period of study of the degree programme. Normative duration of studies is three years full-time study for bachelor’s degree and two years full-time study for master’s degree. Scholarship requires full-time study and goal-oriented progress in studies. Continuation of the scholarship after the first year requires progress in studies in compliance with the approved personal study plan.

Aalto University Incentive Scholarship Programme
In addition to the tuition fee waiver scholarships, Aalto has incentive based scholarships that reward fee paying students (i.e. students paying either full fee or partial fee) who make good progress in their studies at Aalto. The scholarship is granted to a student who has earned a minimum of 60 ECTS credits of programme studies in his/her personal study plan during one academic year. The scholarship is 1 500 EUR. The scholarship is paid in one instalment in the following autumn term (or upon graduation, when applicable).

除了免學(xué)費(fèi)半獎(jiǎng)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金，阿爾托大學(xué)還有勵(lì)志獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金。勵(lì)志獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金適用于在學(xué)業(yè)上有良好進(jìn)步的的需要支付學(xué)費(fèi)的學(xué)生(支付全額學(xué)費(fèi)或部分學(xué)費(fèi)的學(xué)生)。該獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金向在一個(gè)學(xué)年里在個(gè)人學(xué)習(xí)計(jì)劃中拿到60個(gè)及以上歐洲學(xué)分的學(xué)生發(fā)放。勵(lì)志獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金下一秋季學(xué)期一次性發(fā)放(或在畢業(yè)的時(shí)候發(fā)放，如果適用)。
