There are a number of scholarships available to both new postgraduate international students and international Brighton graduates who are progressing to further study.

1.INTERNATIONAL SCHOLARSHIPS

For entry in academic year 2017/18, there are 30 University of Brighton international scholarships available to new, full-time international postgraduate taught-degree students.
The scholarship is worth a £5,000 reduction in the cost of your tuition fees for each year of your course.
Applications for 2017 entry are open between 1 November 2016 – 31 July 2017.

(3)Who is eligible
To be eligible to apply for a scholarship you must be a new, full-time, international fee-status student who holds an offer for a postgraduate taught degree with a minimum course duration of one year.
You must have applied for the course of your choice at the University of Brighton, and have been offered a place on that course for 2017 entry.
Students studying graduate diplomas, pre-masters programmes, or equivalent, at University of Brighton partner colleges or those on PG Cert and PG Dip courses (excluding OSPAP, Law CPE PGDip and Accounting PGDip) are not eligible for these scholarships.
These scholarships are not open to students who are fully sponsored.
Existing international students are also not eligible unless starting a new postgraduate programme.

There are four application deadlines throughout the year: 31 January, 31 March, 31 May, and 31 July 2017. Early applications will be processed in line with these dates and awards made in the month following each deadline, with final awards coming at the end of August. Decisions will be made by an awards committee coordinated by the International Office and Academic Services, and decisions about scholarship awards will be communicated to applicants approximately two weeks after those dates.
You are advised to apply as early as possible after you have received our offer, as the number of scholarships is limited.
Please note that any accompanying documentation will not be returned and that the Scholarship Award Committee's decision is final.

2.VICE-CHANCELLOR'S POSTGRADUATE EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPS

(1)About these scholarships
Postgraduate excellence scholarships worth £3,000 are available to graduates with a first-class degree from a UK institution who progress immediately from undergraduate to masters level study with us in 2017.
The scholarship amounts to a £3,000 discount on the standard tuition fee for full-time masters study. For part-time students it is only available for the first two years of study, with the £3,000 discount on the standard tuition fee being divided pro-rata according to the number of credits studied per year.
(2)Who is eligible?
The Vice-Chancellor's postgraduate excellence scholarship is only available to graduates who obtain a first-class degree from a UK institution in 2016/17.
Eligible graduates must be applying to start a masters course in 2017 or for deferred entry (maximum one year).
The scholarship amounts to a £3,000 discount on the standard tuition fee for full-time masters study.
The scholarship is also open to part-time students, but only for the first two years of study, with the £3,000 discount on the standard tuition fee being divided pro-rata according to the number of credits studied per year.
This scholarship is open to students from outside of the UK/EU providing they also meet all of the criteria.
Graduates taking advantage of this scholarship will not be eligible for the standard 10% alumni discount or any other University of Brighton postgraduate scholarship for the same course.
(3)How to apply
Eligible graduates do not need to apply separately for this scholarship – it will be awarded automatically if your application is successful and you enrol on your course.
If you are interested in studying an eligible course but are yet to apply, you should go ahead and submit your application online in the normal way. If you are offered a place, we will automatically identify you as an eligible graduate and award you the scholarship on commencement of your studies.
(4)Deadline
To be eligible for this scholarship you must apply for your course by September/October 2017.

The scholarship is worth one year’s full tuition fee.
Applications for 2017 entry are open from 1 November 2016 to 31 May 2017.

4.INTERNATIONAL HUXLEY SCHOLARSHIPS

(1)About these scholarships
We offer a number of £2,000 scholarships for international students studying certain MSc and MRes programmes within the School of Pharmacy and Biomolecular Sciences.
(2)Criteria
The criteria for awarding the Huxley scholarships are primarily based on merit.
Merit does not necessarily have to mean academic merit but could also be interpreted to include outstanding performance in a variety of spheres.
The strongest candidates will be those demonstrating an understanding of the school's research expertise.
(3)Who is eligible
In order to be eligible to apply for a Huxley scholarship you must be a new, full-time, self-funding international masters student on one of the following courses:
Biomedical Sciences MSc,Clinical Pharmacy MSc,Industrial Pharmaceutical Sciences MSc,Pharmacology MSc,Bioscience MRes,Chemistry MRes,Ecology MRes,Pharmaceutical and Biomedical Sciences MRes.
Students become eligible to apply once they have enrolled on year one of their course.
The scholarship cannot be awarded until full payment of fees has been made.
Exceptions
Students studying for masters degrees at University of Brighton partner colleges are not eligible for these awards.
Recipients of this award must not hold or expect to hold any other University of Brighton scholarships.
(4)How to apply
You do not need to apply as the school will identify eligible students.
Successful students will be notified by email.
(5)Deadline for application: You must have paid your fees in full by March subsequent to enrolling on the course

A minimum of two international research scholarships worth the full tuition fee for each year of your research degree (for up to a maximum of three years) are available to outstanding international research students in all areas of study.
(2)Criteria
The criteria for awarding University of Brighton international research scholarships are:
academic merit (including English language ability)
full fee-paying international student status and
acceptance onto a research degree at the University of Brighton.
Who is eligible
In order to be eligible for the scholarship, you must be a new, full-time international research student with an unconditional place for entry in October 2017.
(3)How to apply
Email brighton-doctoral-college@brighton.ac.uk with your applicant number in the subject line and we will send you a scholarship application pack.
Application forms will only be sent to students who meet our eligibility criteria.
(4)Deadline for application
The deadline for completed applications is 5pm on 30 June 2017. Your application will be considered at the appropriate Doctoral College committee meeting prior to your intended start date.
The decision of the Doctoral College committee will be communicated to applicants soon after the meeting and that decision is final. Please note that accompanying documentation will not be returned.

(1)About these scholarships
The deadline for this scholarship has now passed.
Chevening scholarships are awarded by the UK government to students from outside the UK and EU.
They are for talented people who have been identified as potential future leaders across a wide range of fields including politics, business, the media, civil society, religion and academia.
Most scholars undertake a one year masters degree.
The programme is mainly funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, with some contributions from higher education institutions and other partners in the UK.

申請志奮領(lǐng)獎學(xué)金，必須符合以下條件：
(1)具備研究生課程所要求的良好的英語語言技能;
(2)滿足課程的學(xué)術(shù)要求。
特殊情況
(1)英國學(xué)生或歐盟成員國學(xué)生;
(2)外交聯(lián)邦辦公室(包括英國大使館和高級官員轄區(qū))、英國文化委員會、協(xié)辦單位或英國大學(xué)員工;在過去兩年里從離開上述職位的員工;
(3)已經(jīng)從英國政府出資的獎學(xué)金中得到經(jīng)濟好處的人士。

The University of Brighton does not accept direct applications for the Chevening Scholarship. Instead, students should apply for the scholarship on the Foreign and Commonwealth Office website www.chevening.org.
