UWS Merit-based Scholarship
-Eligibility:
Full-time, full-fee paying (non-EU) students, who are studying undergraduate or postgraduate courses in UWS Scottish campuses only. Aimed at students who have achieved academic excellence prior to applying to UWS. 1st year (non-EU) students at UWS maintaining a good attendance of 85% minimum and overall score of 69% or higher across modules in year 1.

Postgraduate Fee Offer
-Eligibility:
Self-funded (non-EU) students who wish to progress from undergraduate to postgraduate study at UWS. Students must have successfully completed at least one year of undergraduate study with UWS.

10% discount will be deducted from overall tuition fees.

Once accepted offer of Postgraduate study at UWS, discount will be applied.
International Research Excellence Scholarship
-Eligibility:
Self-funding, full fee paying (non-EU) students offered a place on a full time research programme at UWS.

Commonwealth Shared Scholarship Scheme
-Eligibility:
You must hold a first degree at either first class or upper second level. You must be a national of a Commonwealth developing country and not living or studying in a developed country. You must be willing to return to your own country to work or study and will need to provide evidence of English Language ability e.g. IELTS certificate.
The following programmes are eligible for the scholarship at our Scottish Campuses only for the academic year 2017-18:

Scotland’s Saltire Scholarship
-Eligibility:
Open to Canadian, Chinese, Indian, Pakistan and US nationals. You must be able to demonstrate that you can meet the cost of living and the cost of the remaining tuition fees.
Scholarship Amount:
￡4,000

Scotland’s Saltire Scholarships (SSS) is a substantial programme of scholarships, offered on a matched funding basis between the Scottish Government and Scottish Higher Education Institutions. The scheme offers up to 100 awards, each worth ￡4000. These are towards the tuition fees, for any one year of full time study, on an Undergraduate, Masters or PhD course at any of Scotland’s higher education institutions.
The scholarships are designed to support the promotion of Scotland as a learning nation and a science nation and are therefore targeted at the priority sectors of creative industries, life sciences, technology, financial services and renewable and clean energy (find out what study options are available). These are available across key priority countries:
Canada,China,India,Pakistan,United States of America.
The scholarships are available to students as part of a wider strategy to promote Scotland as a study destination and showcase Scotland’s higher education offering in international markets.
In order to be eligible to apply for a Saltire Scholarship, candidates must have a conditional or unconditional offer of a place at a Scottish university on an eligible course.
