1.President's Postgraduate Scholarship Scheme

If you receive an offer to study before 10 March 2017, please apply by 31 March 2017.
If you receive your offer after 10 March 2017, please apply by 31 July 2017.
Eligibility
This scholarship is for new international (non-EU) students on a full-time, taught, campus-based Masters course starting in September or October.
This scholarship is open to applicants who already have an offer (conditional or unconditional) to study for a Masters degree programme at the University.
You cannot combine this scholarship with a full scholarship (for tuition fees and living costs) from any other source. You are able to receive only one partial scholarship from the University. If you have a partial scholarship from other sources you will still be considered for the President's Postgraduate Scholarship.
Students who meet the eligibility criteria for this scholarship but are unsuccessful with their application, will automatically be considered for the Head of College Scholarship Scheme. There is no need to make a separate application.

2.Head of College Scholarship

30 scholarships for students from the College of Science and Engineering
Value of scholarship: £2,500
Application deadline: There will be two deadlines for the consideration of applications during the year. If you receive an offer to study before 10 March 2017, the deadline to apply for a scholarship is 31 March 2017. If you receive your offer after this date, the deadline is 31 July 2017.
Criteria: Academic merit
Eligibility
This scholarship is for new international (non-EU) students on a full-time, taught, campus-based Masters course starting in September 2017.
The scholarship will not apply if an industrial placement or exchange year is undertaken, or if you suspend your studies for any reason.
In accordance with scholarship guidelines, students are allowed to hold only one University of Leicester scholarship, awarded either centrally or by a department. If you are awarded more than one scholarship, you will therefore receive only the higher value award.
If you currently have a conditional offer of a place at the University, you are still required to fulfil any conditions stated on your offer letter.
The scholarship is awarded in the form of a reduction in tuition fees.
Students who apply for the Head of College Scholarship will also be considered for the President’s Postgraduate Scholarship. There is no need to make a separate application.

3.Chevening Scholarship
志奮領獎學金
The UK Government Chevening Scholarships are open to international students who are applying for one year Masters programmes.
Applications are usually open between August and November each year and are submitted online through theChevening Scholarship website. Applications open in the August before your year of entry.

4.International Postgraduate Research (PGR) Excellence Scholarship

The College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities is pleased to offer eight International Excellence Scholarships to the value of £15,000* for September 2017 entry, to its Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) programmes.
The College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities contains some of the leading research departments in the UK.

Eligibility Requirements
Awards will be granted to the strongest applicants based on an assessment of your:
- research proposal
- academic record and
- supporting references
You must be an international (non-EU) fee paying applicant.
You must be able to commence studies in September 2017 as a full-time campus based student or part time Distance Learning student.
Entry Requirements
You must have obtained a first class or upper second class undergraduate degree or an equivalent overseas qualification in a relevant subject.
You must have obtained a Masters’ degree in a relevant subject.
You must possess the required English language qualification.or show evidence of achieving this by September 2017.

Application Process
Explore the University of Leicester’s research areas (College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities) and ensure supervision is offered in your area of study.
Draft a research proposal. Please refer to the guidelines for research proposals on the relevant subject page you wish to research.
Prepare your supporting documents:
a.) Supply copies of all relevant certificates/diplomas and transcripts (You must provide official copies of your transcripts including explanations of the mark schemes used). Supporting documents that are not in English must be provided with a certified English translation.
b.) You must also provide contact details for two academic referees who can comment on your suitability for the research degree programme.
Submit your application online - In the Funding Section of the application please can you select Studentship in the Dropdown Menu. In the next dropdown select 'Other' and add PGR Excellence Scholarship 2017 in the ‘please specify’ section. If you have any other sources of funding please add these as prompted
If you have already submitted your PhD application for 2017 entry, meet the criteria and would like to be considered for this Scholarship please email pgradmissions@le.ac.uk with your request before 1 June 2017 deadline. Please include your name, application ID number and the PhD programme you have applied for.

Terms and Conditions
The College of Social Sciences, Arts and Humanities must be able to supply supervision in your chosen area of study.
Scholarships are only available to new postgraduate research applicants studying on campus or by distance learning.
Scholarships are only available to self-funded students.
Scholarships cannot be combined with any other scholarship or discount.
£15,000 payable as a fee discount over a 3 year period (£5,000 fee discount each year for 3 years).
Applications received after the closing date will not be considered.
Applications that do not include a full research proposal and the required supporting documents will not be considered.
Due to the high volume of applications only successful applicants will be notified of their eligibility.

5.Family Loyalty Discount
家庭義務折扣
The Family Loyalty Discount is for international (non-EU) students. It entitles you to 10% off your course fees for each year of a full-time course, whether that is an undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, foundation course or English language course.
You must be the sibling, spouse or child of someone who is either currently studying on, or has graduated from, a full-time course here at the University of Leicester. That relative must also be (or have been) classified as an international (non-EU) student.
Siblings: you and your sibling can have one or both parents in common.
Children/parents: you can be related by blood or by marriage.
Spouses: You cannot become eligible for this discount by marrying someone who is currently studying at the University.
To apply for a Family Loyalty Discount you must complete this form and bring it, with the required evidence, to the Student Services Zone on campus (we do not accept applications by email). We recommend that you apply when registering for your course, or soon after. Applications cannot be accepted more than four months after your course start date. Our Academic Office will consider your application and let you know whether it has been approved.
When two or more family members register at the same time the family discount is split between them, ie. two family members would each receive a 5% discount.
Please note that you cannot receive the Family Loyalty Discount if you have already received another discount/scholarship from the University, such as the Alumni Loyalty Discount.

(2)孩子/父母：可以是血緣關系或婚姻關系;
(3)配偶：和當前在萊斯特大學結婚的申請人，不符合家庭義務折扣資格。
申請家庭義務折扣，必須完成申請表，并連同所需的文件一起，將申請表提交到校園學生服務區(qū)(我們不接受郵件申請)。我們建議你在注冊課程的時候申請，或者在注冊課程之后立即申請。在開課日期之后的四個月提交的申請，不會被接受。申請由學校的學術辦公室審核，學術辦公室會讓你知道申請是否被同意。
如果有兩個或兩個以上家庭成員同時注冊，家庭折扣將平分。也就是說，兩個家庭成員各享受5%的折扣。
請注意，如果你已經(jīng)享受萊斯特大學的另一項折扣或獎學金，比如校友義務折扣，則不能享受家庭義務折扣。
