1. Scholarship details
This scholarship is only available to full-time international students on a BEng or MEng in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related programme. The Scholarship will only be paid once for each eligible level of study, subject to meeting progression requirements.
Value:£2,000 fee waiver per academic year.
How many: 10 scholarships are available for September 2017 entry.
Application process: Applicants apply as normal for the relevant BEng or MEng course in the usual way, via UCAS or via the Brunel online application portal.
All the required information will be taken from the course application form, this includes predicted grades and the UCAS personal statement and verified at registration.

2. Eligibility
2.1 To be eligible for a Dean’s International Scholarship an applicant must:
Apply for and fulfill the entry criteria for admission to the following courses:
BEng in Mechanical Engineering
MEng in Mechanical Engineering
BEng in Mechanical Engineering and Energy
MEng in Mechanical Engineering and Energy
BEng in Aerospace Engineering
MEng in Aerospace Engineering
BEng in Aviation Engineering
MEng in Aviation Engineering
BEng in Automotive Engineering
MEng in Automotive Engineering
BEng in Motorsport Engineering
MEng in Motorsport Engineering
Related programmes namely BEng or MEng in 'Mechanical Engineering with Automotive Design, or Building Services, or Aeronautics, and Aviation Engineering with Pilot Studies. These programmes include the ‘with Professional Development’ optional placement year, though the scholarship will not be paid in the placement year (only).
Achieve A level grades AAB or equivalent in a recognised International or local country qualifications.
Be in receipt of an offer to study on one of the above programmes starting in September 2017.
Have been assessed by Brunel University London as an international student for tuition fee purposes.
Must make Brunel University London their firm choice through UCAS by 20 July 2017.
All scholarships and bursaries will be considered and awarded in year 1 of the course only.
2.2 Those not eligible for this Scholarship
Students who have made Brunel their Firm choice after 20 July 2017 or in Clearing or Adjustment.
Students who transfer from another institution.
Applicants for the Engineering with an Integrated Foundation programmes.
Applicants entering the University in Year 2/Level 2 will not be considered for this scholarship.

3. Allocation
3.1 Eligibility criteria are reviewed annually.
3.2 Scholarships are awarded to those who meet the eligibility criteria at the time of allocation.
3.3 Students are considered for scholarships using the information provided at the time of their application only and cannot be considered should their circumstances change during the course of their studies. Scholarships cannot be backdated.
3.4 Only one scholarship can be paid to any one student in any one year. If an applicant applies for and is awarded one of Brunel's International Scholarships, they cannot be awarded the Dean's International Scholarship for Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering.
3.5 All applications will be reviewed by the Admissions Tutor throughout the year.
3.6 Successful applicants will be considered on the basis of their actual grades achieved, and confirmed through the receipt of official transcripts.
3.7 The decision of the Admissions Tutor is final. The University will not accept any appeals in respect of the decisions made by the Admissions Tutor.
3.8 Deferred applicants will be considered for a scholarship/bursary in the year they start their course and not in the year of their course application.
3.9 Scholarships are awarded for the September entry of the academic year 2017/18 and will not be deferred to later years of entry.
3.10 All successful students will be informed by email at the beginning of September.

(5)所有申請(qǐng)將由招生導(dǎo)師全年審核;
(6)申請(qǐng)成功的學(xué)生，將在實(shí)際成績(jī)的基礎(chǔ)上被考慮，在學(xué)校收到官方成績(jī)單之后，將被確認(rèn);
(7)招生導(dǎo)師的決定屬于最終決定。對(duì)于招生導(dǎo)師做出的決定，布魯內(nèi)爾大學(xué)不接受任何駁斥;
(8)推遲入學(xué)的申請(qǐng)人將在開始學(xué)習(xí)課程的年份被獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金考慮，不在課程申請(qǐng)的年份被考慮;
(9)獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金將在2017/18 學(xué)年的9月發(fā)放，不能推遲到往后的學(xué)年;
(10)所有申請(qǐng)成功的學(xué)生，將在9月開始的時(shí)候接到郵件通知。
4. Conditions of Payment
4.1 The scholarship will only be applied provided the student is full enrolled at the University on one of the eligible programmes listed in section 2.1.
4.2 The scholarship will be awarded each academic year subject to the recipient maintaining an upper Second Class (2:1) profile at the end of level 1 and level 2. Scholarship payments will not be made during a repeating year.
4.3 Payment will be made for a maximum of three years for the full time BEng, and four years for the full time MEng, provided that the progression criteria in section 4.2 have been met.
4.4 Scholarship holders may take the programmes entitled ‘with Professional Development’, but no payment will be made during any placement year (only).
4.5 Where a scholarship spans more than one year, students will be written to in September (or when progression is determined) to confirm ongoing eligibility to receive their scholarship award.
4.6 The student agrees to abide by the University Code of Conduct.
4.7 The student has no debts with Brunel University London.

(3)全日制工程學(xué)士的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金期限最多為三年，全日制工程碩士的獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金期限最多為四年，前提是學(xué)生符合4.2的進(jìn)度標(biāo)準(zhǔn);
(4)獲得獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的學(xué)生可以學(xué)習(xí)專業(yè)發(fā)展課程，但是在實(shí)習(xí)年期間不發(fā)放獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金;
(5)對(duì)于獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金期限超過一年的情況，學(xué)生需要在九月，通過書面形式確定是否符合繼續(xù)享受獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的資格;
(6)學(xué)生需要同意遵守布魯內(nèi)爾大學(xué)的行為準(zhǔn)則;
(7)學(xué)生不能欠布魯內(nèi)爾大學(xué)的債。
5. Withdrawal of scholarship
5.1 The University reserves the right to withdraw a scholarship from anyone who is found to have misled the University about any aspect of their eligibility and to seek repayment of any monies already paid by appropriate means.
5.2 If a student transfers to a course of study not listed in section 2.1, the scholarship will be withdrawn.
5.3 Fee waivers are applied at the start of the academic year as part/all of a scholarship entitlement and will not normally be amended once the fee waiver has been processed. Any tuition fee liability remaining after fee waivers are applied would therefore be calculated in accordance with the Student Financial Policy.
5.4 In the case of withdrawal or abeyance the tuition fee and the fee waiver are calculated in accordance with the Student Financial Policy.
5.5 Periods of temporary withdrawal that result in repeat or extended periods of study are not supported by additional scholarship payments. Scholarship entitlement is for the maximum duration of each award and entitlement is not extended if overall course duration alters.
5.6 Should a student be suspended for any reason, any scholarship payments would be withdrawn and consideration of reinstatement will be dependent on the disciplinary outcome.
5.7 If a student transfers to a course of study not listed in section 2.1, the scholarship will be withdrawn. In cases where the student completes Level 1 within the stated courses then starts a new course in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering the award will be placed on hold and reinstated once the student commences level 2.
