一、Accepting your offer
I have been offered an entrance scholarship or bursary. Where do I find the Terms of Reference and how do I accept or decline my offer?
Entrance Scholarships/Bursaries: You can view the Terms of Reference and accept or decline your offer through your Student Center. Please follow the steps below:
Log in to your Student Center at go.sfu.ca.
Select the “View Financial Aid and Awards” link under the Finances section.
Select the year.
Select the “ACCEPT/DECLINE AWARDS” button. Either button will link you to the next step.
Review the instructions. Click on the scholarship or bursary name to view the Terms of Reference.
Once you have reviewed the Terms of Reference Select “Return to Previous Page”. The Terms of Reference will remain on your Student Center for future referral.
Provide your decision by Selecting the Accept or Decline checkbox.
Select the “SUBMIT” button.
Confirm the submission and then select “OK”.
You are done! By accepting your SFU entrance scholarship or bursary you are also accepting your admission to SFU. Your Student Center will be updated shortly.

You can log into your Student Center to view the status of financial aid you receive by following the steps below:
Log into your Student Center (SIS)
In the finances section, click on “Student Aid & Award Profile”
Click on the tab along the top that says “FA Term Selection Detail”
Click on “view term details” – if your entrance scholarship, award, or bursary consists of more than one payment, this will show you the value of the payment for that term only, not the total value.
This is the best way for you to check the status of any scholarships, awards or bursaries that you receive now or in the future.
If I receive an entrance funding offer that is higher in value from a competing institution, will you match or exceed the offer?
Unfortunately, we do not match entrance funding offers.
Can I have multiple entrance scholarships, awards or bursaries?
If you have been offered two SFU entrance scholarships, you will only receive the one with the higher value. Students may have SFU entrance bursaries and awards in addition to entrance scholarships.
What expenses can my funding offer cover?
Your funding offer can be used towards any outstanding balance on your SFU student account such as tuition, student fees, U-Pass, and residence. Unfortunately, the funding cannot be used towards meals, textbooks or supplies as these require traditional methods of tender: cash, debit, and credit. However, any unused amount will be issued to you as a refund after the 6th week of classes. It is then up to you to use the money as you wish.

You must maintain scholarship/award/bursary standing on your final grades for those courses used to calculate your admission average. This standing refers to the average or final IB Diploma score originally required to get your scholarship, award, or bursary offer.

Entrance Scholarships: You must be enrolled in 12 units throughout the SFU term in order to receive your funding. If you drop below 12 units after having received any payment, the funds will be reversed from your student account. If you enroll in fewer than 12 units, your scholarship payment will automatically be deferred, however, your academic performance on any SFU work attempted will be considered for future scholarship eligibility.
Entrance Awards/Bursaries: You must be enrolled in 9 units throughout the SFU term in order to receive your funding. If you drop below 9 units after having received any payment, the funds will be reversed from your student account. If you enroll in fewer than 9 units, your scholarship payment will automatically be deferred, however, your academic performance on any SFU work attempted will be considered for future scholarship eligibility.
If you are a student with a disability, you may be eligible for a reduced course load (less than 12 units). You will need to be registered with and provide a letter from SFU’s Centre for Students with Disabilities confirming that you are approved, by the institution, to study at a reduced course load.

Entrance Scholarships: As an entrance scholarship student, you have priority course enrollment access for as long as you hold your SFU entrance scholarship. For the Fall term, course enrollment takes place in July. You will be notified about your course enrollment date via email in June, and it will also be posted on your Student Center. Entrance Awards/Bursaries: Recipients are not eligible for priority course enrollment.

三、(原文)Entrance Scholarship, Award, and Bursary Payments
How will I receive my entrance scholarship, award, or bursary?
Funds are usually divided into a given number of installments. The Terms of Reference agreement for your funding describes how these installments will be disbursed to you. Once you have accepted your offer, your first installment will be deposited into your SFU student account during the second week of classes as long as you meet the funding's eligibility requirements in terms of the number of units you are enrolled in and admission average or CGPA requirements.
These funds are applied to any outstanding balance on your SFU student account at the time. You will be responsible for ensuring any balance owing on your student account is paid prior to the payment deadline. Late fees are only charged on the balance remaining after the scholarship payment has been placed on your account.
What happens if there is money left over once my entrance scholarship, award, or bursary is placed in my SFU student account?
If your funding covers all of the fees on your account and you have extra funds remaining – these will be available to you in the form of a refund after the sixth week of classes. We strongly encourage all students to set up Direct Deposit administered through the Student Accounts Office in order to receive their refunds as soon as possible. You also may pick up your refund cheques at the Registrar and Information Services counter at the Burnaby campus according to the refund schedule. Cheques will not be mailed to you. There are no stipulations on how you use your refund.

Tuition Waiver
You will still receive your entrance scholarship funds even if you have a tuition waiver. As usual, the balance of any entrance scholarship monies will be refunded to you in the sixth week of classes.
Passport to Education
Bring your Passport to Education, along with picture ID to the Registrar and Information Services counter at the Burnaby, Surrey or Vancouver campus. The funds will be deposited directly into your SFU student account and, like your SFU entrance scholarship, applied to any outstanding charges in your account (such as tuition, student fees, residence, etc.). If there is a positive balance owing to you, this will be available in the form of a refund.
Provincial Scholarships
If you have won a provincial scholarship, you should have a provincial scholarship voucher. Bring this, along with picture ID to the Registrar and Information Services counter at the Burnaby, Surrey or Vancouver campus. Be sure that the Social Insurance Number and address listed on the voucher is correct. SFU will submit the voucher to the Ministry of Education on your behalf. After approximately eight weeks from the start of classes, the Ministry will send the scholarship cheque directly to your home.
External and Private Funding
SFU does not restrict the number of external and private scholarships, awards or bursaries a student may receive. However, the organizations donating the funds may have stipulations regarding the amount of entrance funding you can hold. We recommend you consult the sponsoring organization for their funding requirements.

*For Major Entrance Scholarship recipients only.
Parking
Entrance scholarship recipients studying at the Burnaby campus can purchase a parking pass at the Burnaby campus. There is currently no parking lottery for a pass at the Burnaby campus. Check Parking Services for the cost of a parking pass at the SFU Burnaby campus.
Entrance scholarship recipients studying at the Surrey campus will receive priority for purchasing a Surrey campus parking pass at the Surrey campus. Your name and student number will automatically be forwarded to the Parking Services department however you still need to enter your name in the online parking lottery application to provide information about your vehicle. You must enter the lottery every term.
Residence
We offer priority access to residence in the Fall term for scholarship students who meet all applicable deadline dates. You should apply for residence by February 28th if you are starting in the Fall term. Residence deadline dates are specified at Residence and Housing.
