LIVING IN MÜNSTER
With over 55,000 students, Münster is one of the largest university towns in Germany. Accommodation is not easy to find because it is scarce and demand is high, especially at the beginning of the semester. Therefore we strongly advise you to start looking for accommodation several months before you arrive in Germany.
Please note: The University of Münster is not a campus university and does not operate its own residence halls.

1.HOUSING FOR STUDENTS
A wide selection of accommodation is available to those who come to study in Münster. In addition to several privately operated residence halls, the Studierendenwerk offers students a large range of furnished and unfurnished rooms. Many choose to share the cost of a normal flat with fellow students in so-called "WGs" (Wohngemeinschaften, or flat shares).
Studierendenwerk
The Studierendenwerk (Student Support Services) operates several centrally-located student halls of residence in Münster. The choices of accommodation range from inexpensive rooms with shared kitchens and bathrooms, to fully-furnished one-person apartments. They also offer two- to six-room flats as WGs (flat shares), rooms in an international residence hall, and houses especially suited for families with children.

Studierendenwerk(學生支持服務)在明斯特運營有好幾個學生宿舍。這些宿舍位于明斯特市中心?？梢宰r格便宜的房間(有公用廚房和浴室)，也可以選擇住家具齊全的單一公寓。Studierendenwerk也提供有住得下2—6人的宿舍，在國際學生宿舍區(qū)有房間，也有專門針對家庭的房間。
2.GUESTHOUSES FOR VISITING ACADEMICS
The guesthouses for visiting academics are about a 20-minute walk from the city centre, close by Lake Aa. There is also a good bus connection. Every year over 100 international academics stay at the Alexander von Humboldt House and the Europa House.
The following apartments are available:
• 27 single-bed apartments
• 16 twin-bed apartments
• 4 three-bed apartments
• 2 single-bed apartments (handicapped accessible)
• 1 four-bed apartment
In the Alexander von Humboldt House there are also various reception rooms, a reading room and several conference rooms.
Because of high demand, we ask you to make your reservation as early as possible.

適合訪問學者住的高級宿舍離市中心大約有20分鐘路程，在Lake Aa附近。在宿舍和市中心之間，也有良好的汽車路線連接。每年，有超過100位國際學者住在洪堡宿舍和歐羅巴宿舍。

雙床公寓(16個);
三床公寓(4個);
殘疾人單床公寓(2個);
四床公寓(1個)。
在洪堡宿舍，也有各種會客室、閱覽室和幾個會議室。
由于需求量大，學校建議你盡早訂房。
Rental terms and conditions
There are four guest houses available to international academics visiting the University of Münster – the Alexander von Humboldt House, Europa House, apartments on the Germania Campus, and the Edith Stein College. These four guest houses offer some 100 apartments in total with varying sizes and price categories. Most of the apartments are for one or two persons. For families, there are four apartments with four beds, and one with six beds. As accommodation in our guest houses is in high demand, we recommend making enquiries as early as possible – especially for family apartments.
Please note that the guest apartments can only be rented for a limited time. The maximum is 12 months, the minimum is one month. Apartments can only be rented from the 1st or the 16th of the month. Rental agreements can be terminated with one month’s notice, to take effect from the 15th or the last day of any calendar month. If a reservation is cancelled less than one month before the beginning of the rental period, a cancellation fee is charged.
All one-person apartments may only be occupied by one person. In some two-person apartments, additional beds can be booked (children’s travel beds or larger folding beds) depending on availability, so that these apartments may be occupied by a maximum of two adults and one child.

請注意，高級宿舍公寓只可以租一段時間。最長可以租12個月，最短可以租一個月。公寓只在當月的1號或16號可以租。租賃協(xié)議如果終止，需要提前一個月通知，從15好或任何一個月的最后一天開始生效。如果取消預訂的時間晚于租期開始的前一個月，則收取取消費。
所有單人公寓只可以住一個人。某些雙人公寓在有床位的情況下，可以預定額外床鋪(比如兒童旅游床和大型折疊床)。這些房間最多可以住兩個成年人和一個小孩。
