專業(yè)介紹
統計學專業(yè)分為三個大的專業(yè)方向：數理統計方向、經濟統計方向和應用統計方向。統計學(statistics)是應用數學的一個分支，主要通過利用概率論建立數學模型，收集所觀察系統的數據，進行量化分析、總結，做出推斷和預測，為相關決策提供依據和參考。它被廣泛的應用在各門學科之上，從物理和社會科學到人文科學，甚至被用來工商業(yè)及政府的情報決策之上。培養(yǎng)具有良好的數學或數學與經濟學素養(yǎng)，掌握統計學的基本理論和方法，能熟練地運用計算機分析數據，能在企業(yè)、事業(yè)單位和經濟、管理部門從事統計調查、統計信息管理、數量分析等開發(fā)、應用和管理工作，或在科研、教育部門從事研究和教學工作的高級專門人才。
