    新西蘭的理工學(xué)院目前共有19所，提供各種職業(yè)及技術(shù)培訓(xùn)，包括短期課程和三年制、四年制的專業(yè)學(xué)位、文憑、證書(shū)課程。部分理工學(xué)院和大學(xué)可以互相轉(zhuǎn)換學(xué)分(例如商科)，學(xué)生在理工學(xué)院所修某些課程學(xué)分為大學(xué)所承認(rèn)，其畢業(yè)后入讀大學(xué)可以免修有關(guān)課程。新西蘭理工學(xué)院及極少數(shù)私立高等教育學(xué)校所授的文憑由新西蘭資格認(rèn)證局 (NZQA) 負(fù)責(zé)審批和監(jiān)督。
    新西蘭還有許多招收外國(guó)學(xué)生的私立培訓(xùn)機(jī)構(gòu)及語(yǔ)言學(xué)校。通過(guò)新西蘭資格認(rèn)證局 (NZQA) 審批的學(xué)校名單可查閱NZQA網(wǎng)站(www.nzqa.govt.nz)。
