論誠(chéng)實(shí)
Going to the best university is every student’s dream.
上最好的大學(xué)是每個(gè)學(xué)生的夢(mèng)想，
However, the student who achieved the highest score in liberal arts文科 in this year’s national全國(guó)性的college entrance exam in Chongqing 然而，在今年高考中，重慶地區(qū)獲得文科最高分的那個(gè)學(xué)生，
has lost his chance to enter his dream university,
卻失去了進(jìn)入他夢(mèng)想中的大學(xué)的機(jī)會(huì)。

it is all because of dishonesty不誠(chéng)實(shí),不老實(shí),欺騙,欺詐——when he was 14, his parents illegally不合法的, 非法的; 犯法的 changed his ethnic種族的, 部落的 identity身份 from Han to Tujia.
這都是因?yàn)椴徽\(chéng)實(shí)——在這個(gè)學(xué)生 14 歲時(shí)，他的父母非法地把他的民族成分由漢族改成了土家族。
We are taught to be honest when we are very young.
我們從小就被告知要誠(chéng)實(shí)。
However, as we grow up, we see that telling lies may be seemingly看來似乎, 表面上看 beneficial有益的, 有利的 and sometimes can’t be found out. 然而，在我們成長(zhǎng)的過程中，我們發(fā)現(xiàn)，說謊似乎有好處，而且有時(shí)不會(huì)被發(fā)現(xiàn)。
So some people begin to tell lies.
所以有些人開始說謊。
In fact, as the old saying goes,
事實(shí)上，就如古老的諺語所說：
“Two can keep a secret—if one of them is dead.”
“世上沒有不透風(fēng)的墻”、
The truth is known at last.
真相最終會(huì)被發(fā)現(xiàn)。
As far as據(jù)…, 就… I am concerned, telling lies makes you an dishonest不誠(chéng)實(shí)的, 不老實(shí)的, 不正直的person in other people’s eyes.
在我看來，說謊會(huì)使你在別人眼中成為一個(gè)不可信的人。
Honesty is very important in our life and will never be out of style. 誠(chéng)實(shí)在我們的生活中非常重要，而且永遠(yuǎn)不會(huì)過時(shí)。
On Honesty
Going to the best university is every student’s dream. However, the student who achieved the highest score in liberal arts in this year’s national college entrance exam in Chongqing has lost his chance to enter his dream university, it is all because of dishonesty—when he was 14, his parents illegally changed his ethnic identity from Han to Tujia.
We are taught to be honest when we are very young. However, as we grow up, we see that telling lies may be seemingly beneficial and sometimes can’t be found out. So some people begin to tell lies. In fact, as the old saying goes, “Two can keep a secret—if one of them is dead.” The truth is known at last.
As far as I am concerned, telling lies makes you an dishonest person in other people’s eyes. Honesty is very important in our life and will never be out of style.
