博林格林州立大學(xué)建于1910年，位于俄亥俄州東北部。學(xué)校地處市中心，擁有100多棟建筑，占地1338公頃。大學(xué)現(xiàn)有全職教師861名，從事教學(xué)，科研和咨詢工作。主校區(qū)現(xiàn)有學(xué)生21000名，其中研究生3000余名。99%的學(xué)生來自俄亥俄州，還有來自55個國家的國際學(xué)生。
博林格林州立大學(xué)有兩個校區(qū)，校內(nèi)有免費的公車可搭乘，同時也有24小時的駐校警察巡邏，讓學(xué)生在一個安全又舒適的環(huán)境求學(xué)。雖然位于郊區(qū)，生活機(jī)能卻是相當(dāng)便利，提供適合讀書的環(huán)境。有超過300個學(xué)生社團(tuán)，是一個相當(dāng)重視學(xué)生生活發(fā)展的學(xué)府。學(xué)校安排學(xué)生進(jìn)入17棟大學(xué)宿舍和30棟校內(nèi)公寓。選擇住在校內(nèi)，可便于上課和參加校園活動。
課程設(shè)置
大學(xué)及碩士課程：商學(xué)院最為熱門，入學(xué)競爭也最激烈，BGSU的MBA項目在全美的研究生院居領(lǐng)先地位，并率先與企業(yè)合作開展項目。商學(xué)院還于1975年首創(chuàng)了組織發(fā)展學(xué)碩士專業(yè)，培養(yǎng)了世界上第一批該專業(yè)的碩士畢業(yè)生。
著名的科系有：會計、經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)、統(tǒng)計學(xué)。創(chuàng)作寫作在全美排名第72。藝術(shù)學(xué)院最特別的是數(shù)位藝術(shù)(包括了電腦動畫、數(shù)位影像處理和互動媒體)、立體類藝術(shù)(包括有陶藝、纖維、玻璃、金屬珠寶和雕塑)、及平面類藝術(shù)(包括有繪畫、油畫、攝影和版畫)。另外著名的有戲劇和電影、視覺溝通和科技教育。音樂藝術(shù)及演奏領(lǐng)域的師資有全球性的國際大師。
其他著名的科系有：文化史、社會學(xué)、心理學(xué)、數(shù)學(xué)、生命科學(xué)、護(hù)理等。目前臺灣在各領(lǐng)域都有寶林格林州立大學(xué)畢業(yè)的杰出校友，無論在學(xué)術(shù)界或企業(yè)界都有很好的成就。
