怎樣正確看待大學排名資訊
對于計劃出國留學的學生來講，如何選擇最適合自己的學校和專業(yè)，如何實現(xiàn)國外優(yōu)質教育資源與個人發(fā)展規(guī)劃的最優(yōu)組合，成為留學前要考慮的首要問題。
中國家長的習慣，往往片面追求各類高校排行榜，甚至于不顧孩子喜好，替孩子規(guī)劃美好前程，這種安排是否科學合理?選校時，在大學排名，專業(yè)排名與個人興趣之間，該如何理性判斷，做出怎樣的取舍和抉擇?帶著這些問題，搜狐走訪了伯樂的資深專家，對這些問題進行了逐一解讀。
排名榜首選權威性
資深專家認為，有一些排行榜的權威性是毋庸置疑的。在如今排行榜滿天飛的日子里，參考排行榜當然要看那些權威機構制作的可信度較高的榜。各國的高等教育學府的排行榜一般由一些社會團體進行排名，尤其以媒體最為突出。比如《美國新聞與世界報道》和《金融時報》公布的排名，都被認為具有相當?shù)目陀^性和權威性，在國內和國際上有很高的聲譽。這是由于他們進行排名工作已經有很長的歷史，工作的完善和調查的科學縝密程度保證了排行榜的準確程度，而不是憑少數(shù)人的偏好和印象。
各種排行榜比較的方面不同，有的是綜合排行榜，有的是專業(yè)排行榜，所采集的資料不同，各種參數(shù)的比重也不同。《美國新聞與世界報道》的排名更注重學生質量和畢業(yè)生就業(yè)狀況，《金融時報》發(fā)布的這個排名，非常重視學員對院校和專業(yè)課程的滿意度。但是萬變不離其宗，排行榜考慮的因素主要集中在以下幾方面:學校資源設備，師資資歷，師生比例，學術研究成果，教師的學術成就，學生錄取情況，就業(yè)情況，財政資源等。
根據學歷層次和專業(yè)方向，具體分析和比較
專家認為，在國外，本科學歷是基礎性、普及型的學歷層次，學校間的差距本身就小，特別是英國，加拿大和北歐的知名院校;因此，中國學生申請國外本科，就不應該把精力集中在學校的排名上，而是著重在成功的入學申請上。專家建議，學生在挑選學校的時候可以在排行榜的各個階段的學校中，各選幾所發(fā)送申請，既有最理想的院校，又有最穩(wěn)妥的院校和保底型院校，最終的錄取成功率才高，而不要盯著某一檔次的學校不放，走這樣的獨木橋失敗的風險很大。
